I don't know what's going on here. She did this a while ago and I got another litter box and it stopped. Now all of the sudden it's started up again. Whenever she does it I check the boxes to see if they're just overly dirty or something and they're clean. I clean them VERY regularly. They are covered litter boxes, and today when I found the "accident" on the floor I cleaned them and uncovered the boxes to see if that made a difference. Hopefully it will. She's going to the vet next week to be spayed, so I'll mention it then.

Any thoughts?[/

Maybe she doesnt have enough room to go with it being covered...I have a couple that are covered and another big one that isn't and the one that isnt seems to be the most popular on

also, maybe its just bad aiming...I hope it isn't anything medically but just icnase, I would call the vet and just talk to them over the phone about it and see what they say....Good Luck!

your kitty may not like the kind of cat litter you use... Do you change brands a lot?

Also, How often do you do a complete dumping of old litter, and sanitize the box? even if you scoop frequently, it is possible that the older litter has a dirty smell to it, even if it is "clean" as in all the waste is removed. i alternate cleaning the boxes with bleach and vinegar, as I don't feel quite... right that they have to stand where they poo and pee. Also.. you should have at least 2 boxes for your cat, and then 1 more for each additional cat. they like to not use the same box for both functions, usually.

WOW really? see Leo and Baby don't have a problem using the same box together.. but then again, we clean it every day too...
