i wish they would do that in idaho, i think there are just too many rednecks here though

I know what you mean - Another TCS member, Gail (GailC) has a thread about her Sheba (RIP
) and this is something she's very involved with in her state. If you locate her thread, it's a heartbreaking story, and we're all pulling for her at the sentence hearing.

Finally! I'm still realing about that siberian husky that was shot repeatedly with a bow and arrow. Those two a** holes got off scott free.

I KNOW. I heard that one driving home and had to pull over. It was bad.

So much of the time I hate living here ~ the rains, the Seattle nightmare traffic, the congestion, the city life, the prices, the glitz, the commute, the self-righteous Microsoft is King attitude and you must drink Starbucks....just everything! But finally, somebody was in charge that made a difference.

Can someone please fill me in on whatever happened to GailC and her Sheba.

I'm so sorry to say, that I must've missed reading about her.

Either provide me with a link to her story(ies) or PM me, or sum it up here. But either way, please someone tell me so I know what happened. Thank you.

Diane, if I recall correctly, sentencing was moved to June 9 from May 18, and it's just in a holding pattern now. Here is the link:

hhmmmm, Diane I'm unsure why you don't see it. Within the thread link I posted is Gail's link to her local newspaper. I'm sure of you sent Gail a PM and inquired, she'd be thrilled you asked and may have an easier or different article for you to access -?

Elizabeth, first this is Cheryl (not Diane). I did click on her thread link and saw another link to her newspaper, however, I don't know where to go from there.
Good idea about the PM, I'd already done that before I questioned in this thread. Waiting for her answer. Thanks.

aww cheryl, Shaba died because someone shot it.

No, I'm sorry for all the frustration in getting it. What I saw was that the link had changed to today's issue of that Wisconsin paper, so no wonder you could not find it. Gail had an earlier thread for Sheba, too, the actual incident but that was lost in the crash.
I have been haunted by what happened to Gail and Sheba and what this very brave and kind woman has gone through. I have never been able to shake the sorrow, ever, and I don't think I will until Gail tells me some type of justice has been served. Today was very eventful here in my heart when I learned my own state had passed this law.

This link tells it all. Sounds like the horrible neighbor probably shot 3 of her cats! Poor Gail! And now the state is trying to make it legal to shoot cats! Just a horrible terrible thing to have happen.


And Gail isn't free to discuss it according to her earlier posts on the S.O.S. thread, due to the court case.

I am out in the country, too, and have 2 inside cats, but 6 outside. I certainly feel for Gail and her loss.
