bad grandma!

so my husband and i had the whole family over for dinner last night...it was great fun, until my mother-in-law gave the baby whipped cream...he's a soy baby can't handle milk at all, well whipped cream is a milk product, he was sick all night which means no sleep for me...thanks grandma

yes...she knew...just didn't think of it, and she doesn't think he really can't have milk...she thinks back in her day babies drank milk and didn't have soy, so i must just be making it up...well it was a rough night, but he seems to be feeling better now

My brother is 44, and couldn't drink milk as a baby. He was on regular formula until 9 mos old, and couldn't even sit up he was so weak! Now he's a strapping big boy!

Sorry you have one of those mil's, have dh be the one to let her know how it affected ds.

Poor kid. My ex-MIL decided that my oldest son was constipated and gave him Castoria, without my knowledge. The kid cramped and screamed for hours and was covered in poop. I could Have killed her.

Sounds like it's time to sit down with Hubby and Grandma and have a little talk. It just kills me when people take the stance well in my day we did it this way so it won't hurt anything. Sometimes it's like banging your head against a wall...
