I am taking Meish to the vet today. Her ears have been dirty for a while and she's started digging in them. Anyway, I was wondering what the normal treatment is for mites and a rough cost estimate?

Thanks!

It all depends on if it is ear mites or an ear infection. Did you see the mites when you look into her ears? Cost varies per vet but I think it is frontline that takes care of mites and fleas all in one. its the stuff that goes on the back of the neck. or the ears might just be dirty and the vet will clean them out with some solution and q-tips and maybe just charge you for the visit. I take my cats to the low cost clinic and the visit charge is only $10 and then +the meds. When my cat Eliot's ears were bad they put something like in his ears that coat $16 and that was the most expensive thing they had. But like I said it was a low cost clinic so...frontline is not too expensive and it works great.

Thanks guys. My vet is excenent price wise. Meish had to stay over night, urine test, she had a fecal impaction and they needed to do a mineral oil treatment plus she was started on antibiotics and it was only 90 dollars for all that. Thank God for my vet. I adore her.
