My Loco was neutered at 10 am today, its now nearly 12 hours later and he is not coming around much at all. His body is cooler to the touch than it should be. He's pretty unresponsive. He's made a few attempts at walking but juts jumps back up in his chair to sleep. I know the sleepiness is normal, but I'm worried about his body temperature. I'm going to put a warm towel from the dryer on him for a bit. What else can i do for him? When should I consider it an emergency?? The vet is not in tomorrow, but I can get him to an emergency clinic if I have to. I feel helpless!

A couple of months ago, Snowball had similiar problems coming out of anesthesia. He was taken back to the vet 24 hours after the anesthesia was first administered and was found to be dehydrated. He had gone about 36 hours without eating or drinking. This is something you may want to watch Loco for.

Tahnks for your concern
Loco is his usual sweet self today, thank goodness! I was really worried about him because he was so cold. I kept him warm all night with a towel warmed in the dryer and a cozy blanket. Its funny, the other kitties seemed to know something was wrong because they all snuggled around him and he got the benefits of their body heat. Sweet kitties
they are all one big loving family
