I'm BACK...:)

After a month of only being able to log in from work....I'm finally in my new place and have the cable hooked up (YAY) and can get back to being my research queen self.

I wondered where you had got to- welcome back!

Thanks MA...I've missed everyone. My place is covered in boxes and there is LOADS to do but I had to spend some time online to make sure the new cable modem (which was on sale at Circuit City) works. I get to take back the modem I was renting from Cox and save $15 a month.

Hey Gaye....thanks for asking...sorry I wasn't able to respond to your PM from earlier. I am LOVING my new place..that's not to say that I'm happy with how the owners left it...there is paint on eveything...and they did a very shoddy job with the updates they made....BUT...I'm happy to be out of the "renting" business. I finally found someone to sign a lease for the rental I was in but I had to offer to cover half the first months rent. My cats are still a bit shaken from their month away....but Tigger is sleeping in his bed and Habenaro is sitting on my bed. You will have to come by sometime to see the place and meet my moggies.

Welcome back!! I must've missed something, you bought a place??!! Congrats, that is toooo exciting. Good luck with the unpacking and getting settled. I will be doing the same thing not to far from now.

berylayn..yup...I bought a condo...in McLean....for a rediculous price (spring=few condos on market + absolute craziness*desirable location)..BUT....it's on the top floor and it's all mine!!!

I'm still planning on a Northern VA, DC and MD get together...probably in June.

Congrats on the condo, I can only imagine how much you paid, but like you said it's ALL YOURS, and you no longer have to pay a riduculous price to rent something.

If you guys have a get-together, you should at least post pictures for those of us who are geographically undesirable!
