my two girls, bell and scoobie, had kittens approx a week apart.
scoobies are now 3 weeks old and bells are 2 weeks. in the last couple of days bell has been very attentive over scoobies and vice versa. the first litter were just 2 little boys who are now whoppers. bells litter had 3 girls 2 boys and they are still quite weeny. i have had to put the boxes next to each other because bell was continually taking her babies over to scoobies box
! how do i stop them? can i stop them? should i stop them? they hate being apart and take it in turns going down stairs for food and the usual business.

In cattery situations, it isn't uncommon for queens to "share" babies. So long as both Momma cats are happy with the situation and they aren't causing any harm to the babies, it should be ok, but I would watch this closely - just make sure the babies aren't being moved around too much or that you can't find them.

since ive placed bells box next to scoobie they have been fine and no more moving of babies all over the place.
i think bells a little glad of the break, they are 5 very greedy little babies. where as scoobie only has the two. i will keep an eye on them though. but so far they seem ok and the kittens seem to like the extra attention from the aunties. bell is very protective over both litters where as scoobie is more of the milk monitor lol. shes the lazy one so any excuse to lie down!
