Sadly, Bru lost control of her bladder and didnt make any improvements so she was put to sleep on Friday. she was 19 and leaves behind a very lost sister who for the first time in her life is on her own. It was a heartbreaking decision to make but we know it was the right one for her as we didnt want her to suffer.

I will miss her, 19 years is a long time to have a cat and especially to have 2 from the same litter and Spook is now all alone on their cat bed. She is looking for her and sits on teh window sill looking outside as she cant find her inside. This is the second cat we have lost this year, Saffy our young bengal just over a year old, died after a car accident. I miss them both terribly but will focus all my love now on our two remaining cats to make their lives as happy as I can.

Goodbye Bru

I am sorry for your loss.
It's so hard to lose our babies. I lost 2 this year as well. I am still devestated. I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that they have crossed RB and are now revitalized. Your other furbabies will help you get through this.

I'm so sad to hear about your loss....
It makes me think of my Charley who I lost on March 11th after nearly 19 years. you're right - it's such a long time to have someone in your life.

You are in my thoughts.

RIP Bru

I'm so sorry that it was Bru's time. It is hard when they have been with you a long time.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Do you have a picture of or Bru and Spook? I would like to see them. I have a Spook who is 15 and her health is failing. She was our daughters cat and with her now away at college, she has become my cat. I know how attached you can become to your kitty.

19 is a grand old age for a cat and I know you will miss her dreadfully. You aways know the day will come when you have to say goodbye but it does not come easy. You have a lot of memories of Bru to cherish when the right time comes, which it will.
Right now you are in my thoughts through your sadness

ok, i know this is going to seem weird, but Pixel (Mouse's littermate) seemed to do much better after i had a long talk with her about where Mouse had gone... it was like she really perked up! she went back to a lot of her old behaviors & started letting Cable wash her face like Mouse used to. i know they don't really understaned speech, but she must've gotten something!
here's hoping & praying that Spook understands soon...

I am very sorry about your loss of Bru. After all those years you will sadly miss her for a very long time . Try to hold on to those good memories and they will help ease the pain and keep her with you, and in your heart forever.

I am sorry to hear you lost Bru. I know you must be hurting terribly. I too would suggest you hold your other cat and "explain" to her about her friends journey to the rainbow bridge. I think cats understand a great deal more than we credit them for sometimes. Butch was 19 when I lost him also. Hopefully the two of them are playing at the bridge now, as they wait to be reuntied with us. I will pray for you and am sending cyber hugs.
