I'm typing on a laptop right now. I couldn't wait until I got home. I'm fixing my Dad's desktop problems. It's so bad that I have to download software from the laptop and then try to install it. Fun fun fun... NOT!!! I feel so crippled typing on this little thing and the touch pad is driving me nuts. It's so slow and cumbersome!!!
See you all later.

I hated using my x husbands lap top when I used his a long time ago...I guess when you are use to the mouse on your desktop and you go from that to the touch pad for a mouse...its hard getting use to....I prefer a desk top myself!

Hey hon, I know what you mean! Dad has one, and while I'm thankful for it when I'm away on a trip, I hate the darn thing as a general rule! Glad you logged in though.....I was starting to worry about you!

I agree on laptops, that'w why I like the ones with at least a 14 inch sreen - bigger keyboards (and I have little hands!) I've managed to convert about 3/4 of my users to the larger ones - mainly because they are sturdier and don't have the periphrials with the stupid doongles.... but really - ot os because I can't stand them.

I recently made the switch to a laptop at work. I just needed the extra room on my desk. Whether it's at work, or on my laptop at home, I always have a regular mouse plugged in. I hate the track pad. Other than that, on the laptop I miss the number keyboard.

I like my laptop because I can carry it around. I think it's all in what your are used to. I remember it drove me crazy when I first purchased it, but it didn't take long to get used to it.

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600, and I absolutely love it. It has a 15.4 inch widescreen, a CD/DVD RW combo, large springy keyboard, lot of memory and speed, amazing sound and graphics and has wireless capability.

It was voted number 2 as the best desktop replacement by PC Magazine last year.

I've not had any problems at all since I've had it, and I think it's great because it's portable, has long battery life, wireless networks can be accessed for free throughout the city for web access, and I can travel with it... That is, when Mik is willing to part with the carrying case for the day, which doubles as a cat bed!

I have both a laptop and a desktop. I don't really like the laptop, except if I travel somewhere, or if my desktop ever needs to get repaired. Right now, my laptop is packed away in the closet under bunches of other things. It's never used.
