knitted baby shrug

My mom and I were talking last night and she mentioned that she really wished she still had a knitting pattern from when I was a baby. It was a "shrug" (has short sleeves and a small rectangle as the back). She said it was great because it kept me warm but not too warm, for times like summer evenings and such. She's tried asking the local yarn lady and she can't even figure out how to make it from the existing shrug. I was wondering if anyone had a pattern for one, my cousins are starting to pop out babies and she'd love to be able to make them one. Thanks!

Could you post some pictures of the shrug? I could have a look at it and see if I can work something out for you - or see if I have a pattern for something similar!

I don't have any myself but I had a look on the internet and it seems they're called hug-me-tights. I found one for a baby girl here

That's the way she described it, without the little hearts. I'm not sure how you found it, I did all kinds of searches and found a whole lot of nothing! Maybe you have more mojo then me

Sar, I'll see if she wants to order it off of the site, or if she doesn't, perhaps I'll steal my sisters boyfriends digital camera.
