Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to share something that was so cool I really would make you feel so good inside.

I have a friend that I met here at the CatSite a while ago. Although we hadn't stayed in touch, our volunteer work has brought us together on a few different occassions.

Recently, I had asked for advise and prayers for not only Opie, but for Cary who was one of the little kittens that I found abandoned and wound up very sick. I had no idea what to do to make this guy comfortable and came here to the Site and talked with Sandie and Hissy. Both helped, but I still had to wait until the next day to see the vet (without funds, but the Animal Birth Control Assoc. paid the WHOLE bill...and sent me home with meds for all the boys!)

Okay, back to Feral Guardian...I told her of my situation. She works with abandoned and abused animals constantly. She has medications that her vets give her to administer to many of the cats that they don't see that are usually very sick or injured ferals. At other times, she works with veterinarians quite closely and has learned quite a bit from them.

We were talking online and she offerred to send meds, a space heater and some Nutracal. I felt terrible to accept it, but I had no idea at the time that the vet was going to contact this organization to pay for the bill. So, she sent me at least $70.00 worth of meds (if I was to buy them straight from the vet). Not to mention sent them by Fed Ex!

I hardly know this person and she did that for my babies....Is that not one cool person or what! Now that I have the meds for my boys, I'm going to send these back to her; but how cool was that!?

I just thought I'd share such an inspiring story with ya
It puts back so much of the faith I've lost in mankind. Ya know?

God Bless people like her Sandie, Hissy, and a host of others that give of themselves so freely.

Peace out...
Cat

I had the same thing happen to me awhile ago when one of mine got sick. Someone on here who wants to remain nameless, offered to send me meds to get my guy through the rough patch, although she doesn't have much funds in which to pass around herself. I was sincerely touched by her generosity and she FED EX'd the medication, I had it the next day!

Cat - that is such a nice story and a good way to start my weekend. The generosity of the heart is always repaid - many times over, I think. I am so very glad for you that Opie's bill will be easier to manage now.

this site is really an amazing place. A lot of really wonderful things happen here.

On a personal note, I just want to say that Donna would give up her last dollar to help a friend. She's incredibly selfless. I'm blessed to call her a friend.

Deb,

I can't believe the progress he's making too...this whole experience, although terrifying to me and him has turned out to be an incredible blessing and has strengthened my belief in keeping the Faith!

Love ya kiddo,
Cat
