Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
MA - it looks fabulous! Here's hoping there's no rain today (Rain, Rain, Go Away, come again some other day!).

As you may recall, our cats LOVED tubes! Ours weren't outside, so we used the thick cardboard ones used for forming pillars. We purchased carpet remnants and used duct tape to attach strips of carpet inside the tubes so the cats could easily climb up and down. Maybe more tubes could easily be used as ramps to different levels within the enclosure.

The "Miller Gang" are a very fortunate lot indeed - and it looks like they'll soon be moving into a new level of cat heaven!

That looks AWESOME!! That's one of my dreams someday- when I buy my own home to build an enclosure so my cats can go outside but at the same time be safe from outside "dangerous" elements.

Is this intended for the outside ferals or for your cats (inside/outside cats)?

Pls keep posting pics of this! Can't wait to see the outcome..

Looking good. I just wish I could start our enclosure for our rescued bobcat. But, with the way the weather has been, who knows when I will be able to do it. The ground is just to soft and wet.

And the hard part is done- now comes the fun part, filling up the inside with tunnels, ramps, and places for the cats to play and hide-

I don't know why but these tubes look like an alien might have landed

You know, we are totally jealous. So very jealous! Cab we hire you guys to make one for us, with a canine and a feline department?
This is an amazing thing. It really should be photographed for a magazine, it's gorgeous - look at that tubing!

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Wow, Mary Anne, absolutely amazing!
Just look at how well constructed it is! It looks fantastic, and your kitties are going to love it!
Now they will be safe and still be able to have all the fun they can handle on their new fun tunnels and ramps!

Those aren't tubes they are kitty slides! LOL I am going to have to take some astro turf and lay it inside in a strip to give them more traction- they just leap up in there and slide right through landing on the soft grass- LOL I am so stoked, I cried when it was finished. My cats will now be safe!

That looks so cool.
It gets me in the mood to start building the enclosure for our new bobcat, but I have a few obstacles to get through first, which is taking a lot longer than I could imagine.(Long story) One thing I wanted to ask you, because I could not tell by the pictures. Did the wire screening go "below grade". I was just curious because around here, I would need to watch our for coyotes who may dig under the bottom and get inside the enclosure. Not that I would have to worry about the coyote and the big male bobcat, the bobcat would just have an easy dinner, but for domestics you have to be careful.

We left enough wire to go underground- we are also going to be digging a trench all the way around the enclosure, dropping the wire and then pouring gravel into the trench. Then we will lightly sprinkle dry cement into the rocks, wet it a bit so it forms a more solid barrier. Then fill the rest of the trench up with good dirt, plant cat friendly plants and flowers and we will be set-

ALL my cats are inside this morning and loving it!

I seriously must be demented because when it was finished and they were inside, I was in tears- I think my grandkids must feel grandma is wacked! But when I think of all the wonderful cats we have lost, from various accidents, poisonings, wild animal attacks and other feral cat attacks- my blood pressure is just very low at this point-

Good job!!! I am glad to see that you have the wire buried. All the steps you have taken are excellent. I am going to use the concrete/trench idea as well, but the wire will be strong 9 guage chain link fencing for the bobcats, plus a perimeter fence which is required for exotics.

Not at all, I would be just as happy too. It is a good feeling to know you did something so wonderful for your cats. Heck, if it was me, I think I would be trying to slide through one of the tunnels to see what it was like, but would more than liley get stuck
