Some things have gone on this week that make me wonder about crystals & the like in male cats. My cats are fine, it's someone elses cat that's on special food, but I've never had males before & now I've got three. So does anyone know of any where that has some good information. Also, it's going to sound strange, but is it bad for a cat when they wait to long to go to the bathroom. I've always heard it's not good for people & last night Isaac jumped in the litter box I was in the middle of cleaning (he doesn't even wait till I'm done) & started going & I can't imagine how long he was holding it for because he had such a full bladder. I know it's wierd, but I was just curious.

That is usually your Alpha cat that does this, and especially if you only have one litter pan. You should have two pans if you have one cat, but if you have multiple cats, then you need more pans. But Issac is letting the other cats know that this is his turf, his domain, and his scent goes in first above all the others. It is perfectly typical behavior for a multi-cat home.,

Hmmm intresting. I usuall don't think of him as Alpha, but I have often thought that he wanted to be. (Jordan's alpha) I have 3 litter boxes & 3 cats. I know I should really have 1 more, but I'm in such a small apartment that there's just no where to add another one.
