It's hailing!

Lord have mercy it is hailing right now. I love the fact that we are at the base of the Cascades and we get all this wild weather! It's windy and hailing and I think I hear thunder too- or maybe that is just the hailstones falling on the roof!

Hail??? Already???? We don't get too much hail here, but I don't like it when it happens. All I can think about while I hear it falling is, what it's going to damage. I hope the weather clears and you have a beautiful crisp day tomorrow.

It must be wonderful to live near the mountains, they are so beautiful. I just wanted to mention that the all time number one place for wild weather has to be Minnesota. We have extremes that go from 100 degrees with high humidity in the summer, to wind chills that get as low as 60 degrees below zero. Our climite is very unstable and unpredictable. We keep going back and forth, today it was sunny and warm enough to go without a coat, tomorrow it is supposed to rain and snow. We never know if we should believe the weatherman or not around here!!

I love the climate here in Nova Scotia. Last year we hardly had any snow, maybe a week all winter. Since we're nearly surrounded by the Altanic, we get all the mild winds. It can be a bit unpredictable, the saying goes "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes" but usually doesn't go to extremes either way. The one thing I missed most when we moved to Ontario for a while was the salty smell of the air here in good ol' Nova Scotia. The summer is great..I have about 10 different white sand beaches to choose from within a 30 min radius of my house

Melissa- are those white sandy beaches the same as on Anne of Green Gables? It must be beautiful country up there. Do you live in Prince Edward Island?
