Got some sad news tonight

I just learned that a close friend from high school, loved by me and my family, passed away earlier this month. We've lost touch over the years, but he was one of my best friends during my teens and I've always kept a special place in my heart just for him.

He's survived by two young children. Please say a prayer for them tonight.

Mal, you'll be greatly missed.

Oh Christy! I am so sorry to hear this. I'll be thinking about Mal, and of course you, your family and his family. How sad.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's not too late to get in touch with his family and share your grief with them.

I lost a friend who was once as close as family, and always loved by me. It helped so much to go to his memorial service, meet his daughter (who I hadn't seen for 18 years!), and hug his Mom and Dad!

i sympathize, i lost a dear friend at the beginning of march, had to attend the funeral on my birthday...i check in with his mother on a regular basis to make sure she's ok, and she appreciates it greatly, he had 2 children, and the hardest part was that he took his own life, or at least it seems, there is a strong stench of foul play...but i think we'll never know the truth...his mother says she knows who his real friends are because they're the only ones who check on her...so keep in touch with the family it will mean a lot to them
