Well, at least that's better than certain other things they could flick out the litterbox and bat around the floor

tried those pellets but Maverick didnt really like them. the texture made he cringe and she would only grudging go to the toilet!

might try using them again now we've got a bigger litter tray.

i've tried using those scented nappy bags and think i'm going to have to go back to it. Need to find a really good litter now that doesnt need to be changed as often.

Catsan is quite good in mine (and Guin's ) opinion
But.. it is a little more expensive than other brands. Also, those scented nappy bags - they tend to sell them for £1 in the pound shops as well so you can save a bit of money there... hehe

i LOVE the poundshop!!!

Maverick had atleast 6 of their toy stockings at christmas!

i think what i'm going to have to do is daily scooping (which i do anyway) then empty half the litter every three days instead of all of it every ten days. then that way they wont notice.

I do too!
Living in East London they are all over place. Not cat related, but the other day I bought 10 Geraniums for the garden for £1 each - how cheap is that then?

Mine sells cat toys too!

There are no birds in my garden ... there are so many cats on the block that they don't risk it so the bird seed would go to waste

Would be quite entertaining if there were some birds though...

Gilly, you can get birds into your garden even if there are cats. We have 4 kitties and a garden full of birds. We have a number of feeds - if you have trees hang them from the thin branches that won't suppor the cat's weight.

We also have a lantern feeder on a tall shepherd's crook type post that digs into the lawn, it's really popular with the birds and the cats can't climb it. I think we picked it up from B&Q or somewhere like that.

You can also get some that fit by suckers onto your window. As you live on the first floor that would be great - as no kitties would be able to sit underneath the window and wait for them!

Your bin collectors sound pretty funny!
I suppose though that all our litter is hidden in the masses of stuff (recyclable, I may add) that the other people put in!

We tried them for my Nana, but we spent most of our time picking it up from the garden on the ground floor. They tend not to stick very well

I've never tried the ones with suckers Sarah - they don't tend to work well then....hmmm perhaps I won't bother with those then
. Be a kitties paradise with birdies all over the floor picking up seed wouldn't it!

hey
Thanks for the tips - I might just try the above idea
That would be really useful for me as I would be able to sit in the kitchen and watch them through the window!!! (New TV set for Guin as well
)

Just read about the suckers falling off....

I could hang the feeder from a nail at the side of the window?
