Hi y'all,
Cosette gets spayed tomorrow.
I have to drop her off tonight at the Humane Society (that's their policy; I have to get her spayed now as a stipulation to adoption). The vet that does it just so happens to be Eponine and Cosette's regular vet, so that's all well and good. I just can't help but be nervous- this is my little itty bitty girl going under the knife! If anyone has some good luck and bravery vibes to spare for her, I'd really appreciate some

Thanks guys.....pray that all goes smoothly and that I don't absolutely lose it tonight!

Sending lots of "all goes well" vibes Cosette's way.

I was nervous when my babies got spayed or neutured as well. I'm sure she will be fine.

Awwww Amy been there, cried buckets, paced the floor, you name it!

She's going to be in good hands and she'll be fine
but i'll be thinking of your little girl

How old is she now?!.

Just stay with us and you'll get through it a lot better!

Thank you so much Diane and Susan

Susan.....I'm already close to crying buckets and hasn't even left the house yet! I hate that I have to work today and tomorrow

Susan, Cosette is now 13 weeks old and she is growing at a very healthy pace, so physically I think she is in good shape for the surgery.... doesn't stop meowmy from worrying though!

Awww Amy, I dropped Sui off this morning for her spay. We are in the same boat!

I cried last night and I cried this morning when I was doing the paperwork. I asked the receptionist to make sure they took extra special care of her. My hubby *almost* cried this morning, too. I'm sure little Cosette will be fine BUT I know that won't really stop you from worrying. I'll be sending good vibes and praying for you guys, too.

LOL Kelly, I think we posted just about the same thing on each other's spay threads at the same time
I'm praying hard for you and your little girl. I hate that you're crying too
Our girls will be fine and we can love on them and spoil them like crazy this weekend!

Thank you so much Fran, Rigel, Katherine, and Chris for your concern
I really appreciate the good vibes y'all! And Fran- Cosette may hold Teufel to that kiss promise! She's such a lovey kitty- she's always trying to give her big sis Eponine kisses!
Yes y'all....I think she's sooo young to be getting it done, but our Humane Society insists that they do most of their spays at 12 weeks, so I'm hoping and praying she'll be fine....I have major knots in my stomach now though...

Sending lots of good luck and bravery vibes to both you and Cosette.
Mik and Lex also send headbutts Cosette's way!

Oh my goodness, Amy, this is such a nervewracking time for you and sweet little Cosette! Dropping her off tonight is going to be hard, but just tell her you are going to pick her up tomorrow and keep her and love
her forever!!! I sent some prayers that she will be JUST FINE!

Thank you Renee
Needless to say, I won't be getting much of a workout in today or tomorrow!. I will definitely be loving that little girl forever, you're right about that.

You're both in my thoughts, Amy.
Thank you again so much Jenn

Y'all....I'm sick to my stomach with worry....I haven't even eaten yet today (unheard of for me) and I can hardly get my work done.... I'm sure it'll even be WORSE tomorrow once she's actually in surgery!
Anyone have any idea how long the procedure actually takes?

I'm sending good vibes Cosette's way, Amy! Since she'll be going to your regular vet, I'm sure she'll be fine, but will miss her meowmy and big sister.

Thanks Tricia
I'm hoping she isn't too sad tonight
I think I'll do what Kelly did and put a shirt that I've been wearing in my carrier....hopefully that'll give her some comfort. And thank goodness I have Eponine (and y'all!) to comfort me....
