Well, we seem to be doing some better. They were laying on the couch together again but not on top of each other by any means.

They have chased each other all over the house.... and I mean every square inch! A little bit ago, they were on the couch sleeping. Salem woke up and apparently wanted his sister to play with him, so..... he licked her head a few times and when she didn't get up, he started biting her. Now, I don't know if this is playful biting or what but I hope that's all it is. She got up and now they are running all over again. They get in little tussles with each other and she will hiss and growl then he will back off. Not sure if this is normal.....

Thanks for listening!!!!

Oh yeah, forgot to say, I got a total face bath tonight from Spook. She was going crazy licking my face, it was hilarious!

aww, sounds like they are starting to have fun! this hissing might be normal, i dont know... growing up, my cats used to always hiss and growl at each other if one of them wasnt in the mood for playtime, but the other was being annoying...
they look so cute laying there on the couch together!
even if they are still 'sorting' things out

I sure hope so mferr84!!
Seems like they are playing but I have never had two kitties before so I am not really sure what is "normal". Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate that!!

Thanks DawnofSierra. I just love them both so much and want them to be best friends! More pics on the way when I catch some more cute moments.

Sounds pretty normal to me.
Licking has started a many round of play fighting in my house.

I was really excited when I seen that!! Last night, Salem slept where he always does, on my pillow and Spook slept under the couch. I was hoping they would lay together but no go.
Maybe in time???

That sounds pretty normal to me!!
I don't have the experience some people here have, but I have been through kittenhood with two pairs of littermates, and that sounds pretty familiar. As long as they don't draw blood, you probably don't need to worry about the tussling and antagonistic "language" you hear from them. Sort of like human kids, you know.

Love the face wash! That's so neat.

Aimee, that is a great pic of your babies
Sounds like their interactions are perfectly normal. They'll be absolutely fine together!

Ugh, thank you! I have just been sick to my stomach worrying that they are not getting along. I hope they are just playing and everything is ok.

I don't know what this is all about and hopefully someone here can shed some light for me.
Salem seems to be more aggressive towards Spook however, when he is sleepy, he wants to be near her. Well, she wasn't having that. He could get a little close but not too close. Just a few minutes ago, Spook was sleeping on the pillow on the couch and Salem was down further on the couch. He woke up, got a bite to eat and a few moments later I turned around to see where he was and he was on top of his sister!!!! Licking her ear. She just laid there continuing to sleep. Then he started to bite her like trying to wake her up. She wasn't getting up so he laid his head on her.
Look at these pics....
Why is he all over her and picking at her?
I worry that he is smothering her.
Is this bonding between them?

Bijou would spend so much time cleaning Mika's ears I thought he was going to wash away the fur. She puts up with so much then she starts biting him and then he starts biting and off they go chasing each other. Then they'll come back and cuddle up together and sleep. Mika likes to lay right on top of Bijou and sleep - he doesn't seem to mind.

LOL, that's what Salem was doing! I thought, geez buddy, you are going to lick her ear off at this rate!
Well, sounds like this is normal then. Thank you for sharing with me so I have an idea of what is going on.
