Hi everyone just wanted to let everyone know that I am back from surgery. Everything went well and I am in no pain as foot is still numb.
Only problem I had was they couldn't get the @#*$ IV started so have several nice holes in my arm.
Fixing to eat FOOD
then maybe take a nap.
Got my computer moved over next to the bed
YEAH

Would like to tell everyone thanks very much for the prayers and well wishes. Such nice folks on this site and I really appreciate it!!!!

Nite...

Meme hope you heal fast and well!

I know the thing about the IV....
I had to have two catscans in the past several years (nothing serious), but they had to be done with contrast. Which means a dye is injected through an IV in my arm, so they can see better.

WELL.....2 techs and 2 Doctors could not find my veins in either arm.

AAAHHHHHHHH OOH the HORROR! They finally THOUGHT they found it, and tried the test. It was okay. Yeesh!

I laugh, but it was horrible...jabbing, painful, and good grief...
Well.......enough about my invisible veins.....

Get well soon!!!

Meme, I hope you heal up nice and quick!!!

I had foot surgery last year - a horse had stepped on my foot 6 years ago and broken it, but I didn't know it at the time. Couldn't figure out why I was having problems. DUH! Had to have quite the reconstructive surgery... but was allowed to stay awake and watch a good part of it.
So I know about how you're feeling.

Keep your foot up and take your pain pills and relax!

Jin... dont think my surgery is as bad as what yours was. My goodness that must have hurt. As far as pain pills go I took one last night so I could sleep well. Got up this morning and put the bird in the oven. The rest of the dinner is cooked and only needs to be heated up. Foot is just aching and not real bad but took another pill awhile ago anyhow so I will feel good when its time to eat.

Vjoy... they can see my veins just fine! Think I just have bad luck with the nurses that try to do IV's on me!

Dtolle... you take it easy too and enjoy your day!!!!

Everyone... thanks so much for all the well wishes.

Boy do I know that feeling. I had the exact same problem with my catscans. I think the hospital was cold & I was afraid, therefore my veins "hid" according to the dr. I always have that problem (I have surgery, catscans, spinal taps every couple of years) I am so glad you are doing better Meme! Just think of this as good cat cuddle time!

Meme, I'm so glad everything went well

I rememember when I was pregnant with my first baby, it must have taken over 6 times for the nurse to get some blood from me, I felt like a pin cushion afterwards

Enjoy the rest Meme and put your feet up

Well so much for not being in much pain...sigh
But I knew it would take awhile for the pain to set in after the numbness wore off. This morning its a major chore to hobble to the bathroom!! Oh well thats what they make pain pills for.
Just took one and will be out of it soon as they put me to sleep!!

BTW...Kiki Kat is right here beside me. Last night she sniffed at my bandage and then licked the end of my toe. Suppose she was trying to make it well.

Meme,

I know you've had this problem for some time and I'm really happy for you that you're on your way to recovery.

I hope it's a speedy one sweetie...you sure have some nice walks in the woods with Wayne that need to be pain free! :laughing2

Love ya,
Cat

PS....I know those IV's got to be a pain in the butt (umm..arm too!!)

It's very hard to sit here and have my Kitten hurting so far away. The lady just amazes me with how strong she is. I would likely be whimpering and wailing with the pain she's going thru right now. We "talk" daily with Instant Message and I hope I'm as much comfort to her as she is to me.

I guess when we finally are together I will have to learn not to fuss over her too much....
