What a great idea for a thread! Everyone can think of at least one small thing that made them smile, we just need a reminder every once in a while!!!

Let's see...A friend of mine called and invited me, Brendan, Tiff (roommate), and Lauren (best friend) out for her 22nd birthday next Friday night -- and I can actually GO
, my knee didn't hurt while I was spinning today, I managed to find a 6th graduate school I can apply too (hard to find since they need a certain accreditation and they often don't allow new students for Spring terms), Waffle and I spent some time together looking out my bedroom window this afternoon, and I feel tan!!!!!

Now I feel happy all over again!!!

I woke up feeling nice and warm in cozy in my bed.

I leaned over to my kitten pen and saw one of my one week old kittens yawn!

I received some lovely messages on TCS.

Shortly I am going around to my Nanas to enjoy the afternoon with her!

Lovely thread.

I am of more years than the Big Guy promised, am still reasonably healthy, can outshoot my buddies that I meet at the range every Thursday for plinking and a burger and BS-fest afterwards, can ride my 4-wheeler to the extent that I give the "young pups" riding lessons, have a wife that I don't deserve but I'm glad I have her anyway and I hope she keeps me for ever 'n ever, our home is paid for and reasonably sound and attractive, and I don't know why He is keeping me around, must be for something special, and I could go on . . . and on . . . . and on . . . .

Leonard

Oh yeah, and my cats ! ! !

at work/school today a parent came in to do a lesson on gardening with my kindergarteners. One of their activities was 'digging for worms'. She had brownie mix and gummi worms all mixed together to "dig in" and then eat. One of my students starts going nuts and then yells "look at me, I'm on fear factor". It cracked me up.

Okay now I'll answer. I just got home from work and I am finally happy. The weather is great, the dogs are out romping around and Buzz is rubbing his face on my computer. Damn I wish I didn't have to work.

Ali, how in the world can you have so many posts in such a short time ? ?

Your numbers come up to about 400 a month ! !

That's about 25 a day, or thereabouts ! !

What kind of work do you do that allows you that much KB time ? ?

Leonard

Little things that made me happy today:

I finished fertilizing all the rhododendrons and other plants that needed it in my yard this afternoon. I saw a gray squirrel in my yard; first one in years. While I was out, there must have been a dozen different perching birds singing in the trees. It is also shorebird migration time, and I saw hundreds, maybe thousands of birds fly by.

The mechanic from the garage came and put a new battery in my pickup, so it runs again.

Purdy didn't poop in his carrier on the way home from the groomer; he smells so good now. (Neither he nor I smelled very good before I took him, as he had several accidents all over me, the carpet and the bathroom floor. And I hear he had several more accidents at the groomers.)

I have one more day to clean up this house before my step-daughter might come.

I'm sipping a margarita as I type - that always makes me happy.

I bought a "new" car last night, so had the fun of showing it off to my co-workers today! (A chestnut brown Taurus, 2001)
Had a private message waiting when I logged onto TheCatSite! I LOVE those!
My daughter, who was sick yesterday, was well enough to return to school today!
