What is it with guys when they're watching sports? It's like my husband is in a trance or something (especially when Sportscenter is on) The house could be on fire and he wouldn't know it until the TV burned down. I never get break because my husband likes ALL SPORTS. He'll even watch......golf. I like sports but I don't get hypnotized by them on TV. Anyone else with sport freaks in your house?? (glad I have you guys to talk to lol!!)

- my husband isn't a big sports watcher, but I love watching golf and baseball. He is kind enough to not give me a hassle about it.

I think I could handle a 2 sport addiction, that's not too bad.
My husband will watch ANYTHING on ESPN. He watches those classic games that happened 20 years ago!!! I just don't get his obsession with ALL sports.

Even being a man I can't understand how other men get so tied up in watching sports. It bores the freaking hell out of me. I'd rather be playing the sport. I can enjoy watching sports if it is a social thing, but you can guarantee that I wish I was doing anything else but that. I think it's a waste of time to watch them. Of course, some sports are particularly more interesting to watch if you regularly participate in that sport, but even then my interest is limited. You won't find me sitting down to watch softball. I can barely stand riding pine when my own team is playing in front of me let alone watch a bunch of overpaid athletes I don't know. I don't get it.

I'm kinda with Yosemite on this one. Eric has not much interest, except in the archery competitions, but I watch everything! basketball, baseball, tennis, grandprix racing, football -- but you know what my favorite is? The Ironman Triathalon!

Yeah, I do think I'm disgusted by the amount of money these people make. It's ridiculous. It's sad people make more money playing games than teaching children or saving lives or something more worthwhile. (Don't get me wrong, if I were a professional athlete, I'm sure I would feel my payday was justified

I live with a certified sports freak. He'll watch ANYTHING that even remotely resembles a sport. If there's a football, basketball, baseball, or hockey game on, great! But if there's not, he'll watch 30-year-old boxing matches, golf, soccer, high school track on cable access, lumberjack competitions, whatever he can find!

I'm truly fascinated by the enigma that is the sports fanatic. It's not only the complete and utter hypnosis that overcomes him...it's the ability to tune out absolutely everything else while watching, though he's disturbed by the slightest distraction when not under the sports influence. It's also the ability to remember obscure sports facts and statistics when he can't remember which night is garbage night.

Are you TRYING to get the TCS women even MORE into you Ryan????

Brendan doesn't really care too much about sports. He's actually a lot like Ryan about that! He'll watch it with a group of buddies and be able to talk about it and all that, but if he's on his own it's a pretty rare ocassion to find him watching ANYTHING sports related!!

I'm not much of a sports fan. About the only professional sport I watch is show jumping (horses jumping VERY large jumps, scarey and exciting!!), and it doesn't get a whole lot of TV coverage...though OLN shows it once in a while.
My boyfriend doesn't get into sports much either, thank god! lol He likes to watch football near the end of the season, though, which is tolerable.

Amen to that! Teachers, cops, firemen, paramedics...they should be making that money!! They make more of a real difference in people's lives than any athelete does.
Also, it's somewhat disgusting the stuff that student atheletes get away with...free ride through college, and they didn't even go to class most of the time.

Put me down as another ESPN widow

Jake loves it - if I am watching tv, and I walk away for a second, he will change the channel.

But I dont mind watching baseball, especially for those butts on all these men!

I absolutely love watching rugby when I am home in NZ - and I get that idiotic too when it is on.

I enjoy watching Rugby and Show Jumping. Since we only have four TV channels, I don't get much opportunity anymore. Of course I go to Rugby games at the Stadium!

Big sports fan here, football, baseball and basketball are my favorites. I love watching Sportcenter, Baseball Tonight, and ESPN News. I'll even watch old games on ESPN Classic.

Earl is a lucky man, and is frequently reminded of this.
I think I'm actually more of a sports fan than he is. We watch football, hockey and NASCAR almost faithfully. OK, faithfully...if we have to be out of the house we listen on the radio. I definitely missed hockey more than he did this year with them being on strike. I cannot get into baseball and basketball, though. A new one for us is Aussie Rules Football, which we both really like. My only complaint is that the games start at like 10-11 p.m. and I just can't justify staying up that late on a work night. But Friday nights we're going to start watching it late.

Eric Is a HUGE sports fan! He's always screaming and yelling at the tv.He watches golf too , and now he's into baseball witch is by far the most boring sport to watch on tv! What I really dont get is why he has to watch sports center to see the post game recap when he's already seen the game! I have to admit I love football and especially loved that the Eagles went to the super bowl last year.

Yeah, Shy scares the cats sometimes screaming at the TV! lol! It's not watching sports constantly that gets me, it's that he has a one track mind a isn't ABLE to pay attention to anything else. Yeah, Shy has to watch the post game thing (and pre game and post post game, etc lol!) He even watches Sportscenter over and over. I like to watch sports--in person. I just don't really get into them that much on TV.
