there are a lot of delicious desserts that are made with large amounts of cream, look up the recipe for "lava cake" it calls for cream and is devine!

do you have kids? Let them make butter. Just put the cream half full into a jar, baby food jars work well and shake, fast for about 3 minutes. it will start seperating, keep shaking, and before you know it you will have a big ball of butter. Take it out, drain it and salt it, yum.

How do you drink your coffee? How about some fresh fruit (strawberries?) in cream? Or a "gratin" (cooked vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli covered with cream and grated cheese, and "browned" in the oven)? Chicken fricassee served with rice or potatoes? Creamed spinach, carrots, corn, etc.? Scalloped potatoes? Mashed potatoes made with cream rather than milk?
My tip: Go to your local supermarket and have a look at the "Maggi Fix" packets - many of them have recipes requiring cream.

You can whip it, whip it good, with powdered sugar, and put it on just about anything... brownies, cakes, pies, in coffee.

You can also use it on your bod, cream (heavy cream) is very good for your skin! Just like people take milk baths, you can use cream. Just mix some cream in with honey and pour it into your bathtub. Soak a long time.

My momma gave me some heavy cream she accidentally bought, so I was in the same boat as you... it was a half pint I think? Anyways I whipped & added the sugar to some of it for 'stuff' and used some in a bath, kept the rest for coffee. Oh and Snickers gets some, I add a little water to it and he gets just a tad on a plate.

I serve a cucumber, tomato or mixed salad with gratins. We only eat meat once or twice a week, so we often have vegetarian meals.

Whatever meat you cook for dinner, add a little liqueur and lots of cream and reduce to make a wonderful sauce to go over the meat when you serve it. I do this with Pork Tenderloin medallions, Filet Mignon steaks - you get the idea. My husband loves it. I use Calvados with Pork and Brandy or Calvados with beef.

Another thing I made once that was nice was mashed potatoes with shredded cheddar cheese that you put in a casserole then cover the top with whipped cream and bake at a very low temperature (about 200 degrees F) for almost an hour or until the top puffs up and turns golden brown.

My vote is for ice cream! You can make a really yummy alfredo sauce using cream, butter, romano, pepper, and a bit of nutmeg with a base of onions and garlic cooked down in oil. There's also this really great sauce we make for chicken breasts with cream, mustard, tarragon, pepper, and the same base above.

Your idea for the brocolli and cauliflower has given me an idea for dinner tonight. That sounds really good!
