Shashawna is getting close.....can't wait for the babies!

Hi Everyone!

My blue and white Persian is about to have her third litter. She is due April 22nd. She is almost 3 years old so we breed her once a year.

This is Shashawna at 7 months old. She is a sweetheart

She has been nesting for a couple of days so I know it is close. I can not wait to see these babies as the father is a Champion in the show ring. He is cream.

She is quite pretty too! And I love it that her little face is more in keeping with the old style Persians ... being that I like the old style cats and their appearance more than the extreme-faced kitties.

I know you are excited! Keep us up to date and of course, pictures are always lovely!

I will be sure to keep you all updated. Right now Shashawna is lounging around not doing much of anything.

She has been nesting a lot too so it will be any day. Today is day 63 if I didn't already mention that.

Here is a picture of 2 of Shashawna's sons from her first litter born September 15th, 2003. There is a blue and white van and a black and white van. What do you all think of them? Do you think they could be shown?

Thank you for your compliment about the blue van....he is living with my Granddaughter and she wants to show him in premeirship but she was just not sure how he would do. It is amazing how Shashawna-a doll face-can produce such a great looking kitten...she has a few more who are like him too. Any idea why she had such a great kitten? We are bettering our lines and the blue vans pedigree has RW and NW on his daddy's side.

They are showing up for me now!

Well Shashawna would have had some cats in her lines with the correct nose placement so that's why she is producing cats with the correct nose length. For example see the kitten in my signature well one of his grandparents didn't have the best facial type so if he had kittens, a long nosed one could pop up.

Here is a picture of Shashawna's mom....she has a great nose I think. She has 5 CH and 4 GC in her pedigree. She is a blue as if you did not already know....

Hi Everyone!

Today is day 65 and still no babies.....it is hard to wait when you know it is so close...

Her apetite has decreased even more since yesterday...she barely ate at all today. I think she is getting close.

Here is a picture of the father of the litter....he is a solid cream CH male. He has 6 CH, 17 GC, 1 RW and 1 NW in his pedigree

He was a 1 show CH.

What do you all think of him?

Shashawna went into labor early this morning....around 7 AM. She was restless all last night and kept wanting to have the babies behind my Grandfather clock...

She ended up giving us:

Blue and White Male
Blue and White Male
Blue and White Male
Dilute Calico Female
