They mentioned this on Good Morning America.

I found an article on-line this morning: http://www.nationalcatholicreporter....d/word0322.htm. Here's a quote that's down toward the bottom - "Ratzinger closed with an uncharacteristic personal touch. He confessed, as friends and students already knew, that he is a cat lover."

I also found this listing for a book he's written (I think it's the same guy). I can't find out much about it. Perhaps one of you with a little more time can do some research today:

I suspect a lot of these guys spend so much time in isolation that if they actually lived amongst the people they condemn they would change their minds! Cause a cat lover can't be all bad!

Well, that's one good point for him, so far.

I recall seeing an article some time ago (National Geographic?) about the Vatican and there was a series of photos about one of the cats. It showed him coming down a hall and opening the door to a kitchen.
