I was watching Dr. Phil when I got home, and it was all about kids being bullied. Were you bullied in school, or perhaps the person who did the bullying? I asked Jerry if he was a bully. You have to understand, my husband is 6'4" and weighs 300 pounds, so he can be very intimidating. He laughed and said no, and I believe him. I mean, the man is Irish and can have a temper, but all in all, he's a big soft teddy bear that spoils me rotten. I can't imagine him being deliberately mean to someone, but then again, the child/teenage mind is different than an adult mind for the most part.

Me personally, I think I was picked on once or twice growing up, but basically I think I was like and accepted. I was shy and kept to myself with a close circle of friends, but then I went kindergarden thru graduation with mostly the same group of kids, so we all knew eachother.

I remember one girl who I really disliked in school I saw at a highschool reunion. She fawned all over me like I was some long lost sister! OH GIRL PLEASE!!!! I told her her slip was showing and walked off.

I was the pickee. Fortunately, not to a great extent, but there were certainly times.

I had a terrible stuttering problem from the time I learned to speak until about age 11. So I was the pickee, and bullied very hard. I was always in tears. Then I discovered baseball...and my arm got really strong. And I got a backbone and some confidence. And in a very short time, nobody wanted to mess with me and my speech problem went away on it's own. Wonder why.

I was the pickee. I remember when I was 5-6 years old, I used to get chased home almost everyday. They'd also push me down if they caught up with me, and if I tried to stand up, they'd push me down again. There were other times throughout my school years that I got picked on too, but those are the ones I remember the most.

I was a pickee. Fortunately my experience was not as bad as it was for some of my classmates, but still very unenjoyable.

Well to be honest I was the picker in grade school.
I could blame it on the childhood I had but really I just was an unhappy child and took it out on other kids. It wasn't until high school when I grew up and got a little self esteem that I stopped. Then I was horrified on how I was as a child and changed my ways. I am a much better person now. Honest.

I was the pickee - I used to get chased home by a group of girls every day and I was so scared because they were older and bigger - finally I told my dad and he waited at the school gates one afternoon and I ran to him and called out 'Dad!' and those girls ran back and never bothered me again! My dad is my hero!

I was mostly the pickee, but I was able to make jokes and make people laugh and that saved me. In high school Imanaged to make friends with some popular kids that way. i think it's true what they say about humor being a defense.

I was the picker in high school. I really regret my behavior now but I can't take it back unfortunately. I just try to remember that and be nicer to people now.
However, when I was really little (k-3rd grade) I got picked on for wearing glasses. I hated that!

I was the picker in elementary school and junior high. I picked on one girl only. When we got high school I apologized to her, and we became pretty good friends.

We were picked on all the time. Mostly in Elementry and Middle Schools. I'm a triplet and smart so that made us "different", we were easy targets. In High school it stopped or I just stopped noticing. I join the Marching Band and had been working with the boys basketball team as a student manager for a few years. My sisterwas picked on a bit longer then I was. She finally stood up to her tournemtor after he had asked in she loves our brother. her answer was priceless. She said "I'm don't think he swings that way Grant, but if you want to date him I'm not asking him for you." hahhaha.... he never bugged her after that. I heard about it in history later that day. Every one had a good laugh. Grant the school bully was put in his place by a Burgess.
