Today a few annoying things happened to me. One, I used the phone to call my mom to ask if I was taking the bus or not, and the secratary said it wasn't a good enough excuse and scolded me on how rude I am.

I hate being scolded by strangers, and even worse, she insulted me and eavesdropped on me!

Next, the cashier wasn't good with money and I got ripped off, and on the bus, someone stupidly through a water bottle out the window, making the driver stop and delay us for about 45 minutes.

But, I'm not here to vent, I'm here to ask what your pet peeves are.

Mine:

Being eavesdropped on..

Being scolded at all, but mostly by a stranger.

Being insulted.

People who think they're professionals when they aren't trained properly.

Gods, don't get me started on being scolded/lectured. I won't even take it from my parents! I've grown up and become an adult, thank you very much.

Some of my pet peeves are people who ask the same question over and over and over and over and over
If you ask the question, write the info down somewhere!!!

Bad spelling. There are many many dictionary sites on the internet, spell check on most programs and dictionaries to be bought in book stores! I can understand when someone is not writing in their first language, but some of the reports I get at work are absolutely illegible!

Braggarts. Don't be a name dropper just cause you can. I can drop plenty of names (Donald Trump, Barry Manilow, Kevin Costner, Sally Fields are just a few people I have met) but they don't define who I am. They're just people I met at a party/volunteer function.

Sweets- I feel the same way about the lectures.

I also hate when people make me repeat something OVER and OVER again! I just say "I've said it once, that's enough."

My pet peeves are:
Strangers who call you honey or babe
People who bring small children and babies to a smoke filled bar
People who tailgate when you are doing the speed limit
People who don't believe that animals have emotions and can feel pain
People who block the aisles in the grocery store so no one can get through

How much room do I have???

Main pet peeves:
-People who don't like cats and tell me about it
-People just dropping by my house to visit without calling!!! Can't stand that more than anything!!
-People who start digging out their coupons in line when it's their turn instead of having them ready.
-People who say the same word wrong all the time even after they have been corrected several times before. My friend who works in the public safety field with me does this all the time!!!

People who keep the TV on all the time as background, even when they have visitors - you never feel you have their attention. I think it is very rude.

Jenny- *sigh* Then don't come to our house. I feel the same way, but my brother (who is four) MUST have it on, and he screams when you turn it off. Mom gets mad when he screams, and teaches him no manners, so..

Movin' on up!
People who call customer service (i.e. moi) and have the TV or stereo blasting so loudly, that I can't hear them. Turn it down BEFORE you dial the phone.

People blocking the aisles in the grocery store. Saturday, a woman was pushing one basket and had three children, with a second one. They kept jamming up every aisle, that we were in. We even tried jumping a few aisles and they kept following us.

Busy parents who will not get an answering machine or voice mail, so that their equally busy kids can get in touch with them (sorry Mom and Pops
)
