My kitties are now 9 days old. They are growing like weeds! AL is doing much better, and Mirah is great. AL is starting to eat on his own. He has to be, because he won't eat as much when I feed him, so I know he's eating in between. He still has weak neck muscles; his head bobs everywhere.

It's funny, but not funny.

So, there's an update!

CJ is doing good. Only one seizure since her vet visit, and it was short. I haven't seen any more. That is good. I will get more pics soon.

Yes, she had two seizures, and I took her to the vet and all tested fine. I spent nearly $100 for them to tell me she's going to be fine! LOL! But, she's well worth it! Then she had one more seizure after that and hasn't had any since.

Al is doing so much better. Though he doesn't require as much to eat, he is still FAT!

I still have to help him find a teat to latch onto, and I have to stay with him for a few minutes, but, then, he's fine. I usually give him something to prop his head on, but sometimes he doesn't use it. He is doing great, and I'm soooo happy! I'm finally getting a LITTLE sleep, now!
I have to feed him at 11, 4, and 7 at night, but he's doing so much better!
He has another checkup not this Thursday, but the Thursday after that. I think he is doing a lot better, and he is growing so well!

Not too much to say about Mirah, except that she's growing like a weed, wandering everywhere, getting FAT, and is now really annoying when I'm trying to feed AL, and she won't leave me, nor him, alone!

Both of them have their eyes open, and and growing fantastically!

Well, it's strange. Overnight, AL just got so much worse. He is back to square one, and then some. His right side is somewhat paralyzed. He can move it some, but very little. We are thinking that he's having strokes. We are going to bring him to the vet tomorrow. Please say a prayer for AL and for me. Please pray for me to do the right, and humane thing, even if it means heartache for me. I really think that when we bring him in, they are going to tell us that he needs to be put down.

Please pray for us.

Thank-you.
Cassie and family, both non-furry and furry

OMG, I am so sorry..... Tons and tons of good vibes and prayers for both of you. You will do the right thing and lets all think positive so that we can get him on the road to recovery again!

Hope it goes well at the vet and I'm sure you will do what's best for AL.

Glad to hear Mirah is doing well.

Okay.. the vet said that I could bring him in, but with him being so young, there's nothing she could do for him. She said that the way I described how he's just getting worse, that before he reaches 6 to 8 weeks old, the chances are, he will pass on on his own. She said I should give him the benefit of the doubt, and continue with what I'm doing, because there is still a chance that he might live. But, she said again, this is something that he could certainly die from. I think she was trying to prepare me for the worst. So, the prognosis doesn't look good.

Well, I talked to my mom. We don't know if he's suffering, or if he's going to suffer. We don't know what to do. There are so many questions that can't be answered. Is he suffering? Will he live? Will he die? If he dies, will it be long? Painful? I don't want him to die long and painful. We just don't know what to do! If we put him to sleep, would he have had a chance? I don't know! I'm so scarred and confused right now. My mom and I talked it over, and have decided to wait until Monday to make our decision. I just need all the prayers I can get to do what's right, whether putting him to sleep, or continue letting him go on like he is.

Please, please, please say prayers for us and AL. I would appreciate every single prayer!

Thank-you!
Cassie

Oh, I am so sorry to read this
I know what you mean about trying to make the best decision. This is such a hard time and you need to weigh out the positives and negatives. Of course, I know you only want was is best for him. It was such a hard decision for me to have to put Jessie to sleep but I knew that she wouldn't get better and I didn't want to watch her go through pain or suffering.

I will pray and pray for you that you will find the right decision in your heart.
I am here to listen whenever you need to talk or cry.

That's good news. You have to handfeed one of the kittens?
