Um . . . I stepped on my cat's foot tonight, and I was wondering how badly I might have injured him?
I was putting away a case of catfood and Sparky ran under my feet so that I couldn't see him because the box was in the way. I almost lost my balance because I was in the middle of a step with one foot raised and when I put it down, I managed to land on the cat's foot. At least I was wearing running shoes with soft soles. Oooo, he let out such a screech! I was sure I had really damaged him. He seems to be walking okay, no limp or anything, but of course he won't let me get near enough to touch his feet. Poor baby! He's been hiding under furniture all night!
So I figure he's okay, but other than a limp or other difficulty walking, how would I know?
