I guess you could probably think almost the same of me, except that I do have female artists in my collection. Gay artists? The only one I know of for sure (although I'm sure some of my goth collection has some...) is Rob Halford from Judas Priest. No blacks unless you count Public Enemy performing on ONE song with Anthrax (Bring the Noize). Am I prejudice? Well, no... I happen to like heavy metal, country and some goth and industrial music, and there aren't many minorities making that music.
He's into what he listened to as a youth, much as we all are (or will be), and Country, which isn't a surprise either. OK, he *could* have more women on the playlist, but let's face it...beyond Jimi Hendrix there weren't a whole lot of black artists making the style of music he likes, Charlie Pride is about the only black Country artist I can think of. There aren't any gay Country artists that I can think of. (I can't really comment on who of the 60's-early 70's artists has come out...)
I guess it comes down to this: If you already hate him, this will just add another reason if you don't like his taste in music. But I don't think anyone should be totally overanalyzed, psychoanalyzed and judged by what is on their iPod. Just gives me another reason not to buy one.
