Hi,

I'm a veteran kitty lover. So, here's my story. I grew up loving my kitties but my dad never let them in the house. When I was 18 (now 30), I adopted Tom "Moose". He was my pride and joy. I lost him to kidney failure in January due to gum disease that spread to his organs. He was very brave up until the end which worked as a double edge sword because since I had two other cats in the house at the time, I didnt know he hadn't been eating. By the time I took him to the vet and they did the surgery it was too late and he passed away two days later on January 9, 2005. I honestly didn't think I would ever recover from his loss. I was depressed every minute of everyday but a stray I named "Willie" nursed me back to health. Moose will always have the one place in my heart and his spirit will forever live within me.

You could kind of call me a kitty rescue. Tom was my first love but it didnt stop there. Shortly after moving to the country in 1999, Lucky was seen bobbing in the bushes near our house one late summer evening. She is our dainty but most definitely queen of our outside territory. In late summer 2000, Gill was rescued from my sister's house due to severe eye illness. As a kitten, both eyes were swollen shut and matted with pus. I nursed him back to health with meds from the pet store. He considered Lucky his mommy and still treats her that way. Bug was on our porch (not sure how she got there) to welcome me home from work in 2002 with a warbol hanging from her neck. It was half in and out. I nursed her back to health with Black Salve used on horses primarily. The warbol came out and she is fat and sassy as ever. She sleeps with our Golden Retriever, Riley, in his dog box which is very odd since she is skiddish around people. In the spring of 2003, Willie and twin brother Petey was strays that a co-worker found on her porch. She lives very close to the road and was afraid they would get hit. The came to live with me shortly after but sadly in September of 2003, Petey was killed on the road so that prompted us to bring Willie inside. Willie is a gift from above, since he was the one that nursed me back to health after Moose's passing. In March of this year (2005), we adopted Itty Bitty from a cat rescue as a playmate for Willie. I love my babies and actively look for things to entertain them and keep them healthy.

They love their Catit water fountain. I believe because kitties love fresh flowing water.

I have a lot of kitty knowledge in my head collected over the years. People need to be taught the importance of their kitties dental health as I learned the hard way when Moose died.

Thanks for welcoming me to your site!
