Well, the silver one is a 2005 so there's less to worry about in terms of maintenance.
If you're going with vintage (mine is a 1981), it may or may not be more costly in terms of repairs, but they are much more powerful, zippy, fun to ride and they are just so damn fine looking!
Insurance and gas are also cheap (I pay $280/Year CAN for insurance on the 2005 and $4 to fill up the tank)... so you can't go wrong there.
Hubby has been eyeing scooters what with the price of gas these days. His present scooter:

Gorgeous bikes!
I like motorcycles too... my dad and uncles were bikers back in the 60's, part of a club and everything. I have the biker blood in me... I'm sure I'll probably get one eventually!

Forget the scooter... I'm off for a good, long walk since it's SO beautiful out this evening!
I would LOVE to have a vespa! I think the newer ones are so much more attractive...maybe we will be seeing a lot more out this summer!

I personally like the look of the vintage scooters more... but am keeping my new one for practical reasons.

Oh yeah... the convenience factor is great! You can park almost anywhere and not get ticketed.
