Where can you buy this? Anyone know?

I'm trying to find something I've seen somewhere, on TV, in a magazine, house, I don't know where. Maybe it's something that's custom made? Who knows - could be?

It's "STAIRS" for cats.

It's about 12" wide (maybe a little wider) and goes from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. It can be straight or connected so that the peices are curved.

Has anyone seen what I'm talking about? Does anyone know who makes it, where it's sold, could it be made, where they saw it, etc? I know they sell stairs with 6 steps or so. But this is different due to the height it goes up to.

Please know what I'm talking about, someone, anyone?

I know that most people get it custom made.
You can try looking up at cat warehouses?

I know what you are talking about. I just saw one on a commercial on TV. The cat was walking down a kitty stairway that I believe curved away from the wall. I have never seen a predone one in a store or website. I saw one in a magazine once but the owners custum built it. They actually custum built alot of things in their house for the cats. It was awesome. I just showed the commercial to my husband and we are thinking about building something for the kids. But we have alot of things on the "honey do" list. If you do find something predone please share. I think it is a great idea.

This actually sounds like something in a house here in San Diego that was on TV as a house built for cats. They had stairs like that all over the place. I think you could easily get someone handy to build something like that.

I also saw a show the other day on Animal Planet where in Australia (I think) they took an extra room and coverted it to a cat play room. They put the carpet on the walls and put platforms all over the place for the kitties and had a cat tree to the ceiling in the center. It was pretty cool. They had lots of film of the two kitties climbing the carpet up to the ceiling.

Ohhh, I want to do that! We have a extra bedroom that is completely empty... Hmmm..... This one will go on the "list" to do after the yard and other things are done and paid for.

You can't buy it, they made it- it is really awesome. You can buy the materials to make it if you have the room and the patience, but it isn't a kit. You can go to www.katwallks.com

OMG, that is the coolest thing I have ever seen. My husband is going to die when he sees that! He wants to build a whole pathway design for Chloe when we get a house. This will blow him away!

I've seen these too - very cool. My DH is doing a mini version of this in our current apartment. We have a den that is "Chloe's room".

I remember seeing an advertisement that was connected via this forum. It was a company that manufactures these "walks" They had videos showing the cats hoping around on the wall.

I've seen a commercial for that walkway advertising cat food for indoors cats.
I've always wondered if they used Bob Walker's or if they built their own.

There's a book, too, I got mine from amazon.com. The house has been photographed and filmed for all sorts of TV shows, etc. The address in the book is: The Cat's House/P. O. Box 80426/San Diego, CA 92138-0426. He also designed a retired cat's shelter.

The book actually has directions for building the stairs and everything else in it.

According to the book Cats into Everything they have an open house every year as a benefit for the National Cat Protection Society, P.O. Box 6218, Long Beach, CA 90806 (619) 469-8771 or (714) 650-1232.

Wow! That place is amazing! You know, even if I had a house and the money to do something like that.... My cat would totally NOT appreciate it. She'd be like *sniff...sniff* Oh that's nice mommy, where the food? Even if I put the food up on a stair or something she'd be like, you're mean, give it to me, I'm not moving. Its amazingness would be so wasted on her.

I really hope I marry a man that will build me some stairs like this! They are amazing!
