Or exactly 3 days, 2 hours and 15 minutes until the plane takes off for Puerto Vallarta.
Monday we drop the dogs off at the vet and give the key to the house to the vet tech that house sits the cats. We then drive to Denver to meet our travel friends who arranged an apartment in old town Puerto Vallarta 3 blocks from the beach. Tuesday morning we hop the plane and fly down there.
10 days in PV, and our only plans are to sit on the beach, sip cool drinks, do a little shopping, perhaps a dinner cruise to celebrate our birthdays (my friend turns 40 and I turn 45 while down there), and RELAX.
Back home a week from Friday to love the critters for a few days before it is back to work on Monday.
Did I mention I'm getting excited about all of this?
As much as I hate to leave my gang, I desparately need this vacation. My vet tech is absolutely great with the cats - understands ferals and knows how to take care of them, brings her kids with her to play with the inside cats, knows all of the health issues and will take a cat in that needs to see the vet. She's even sub-q'd one of my cats in the past. I can leave (relatively) worry free about my babies.
So 2 more days to clean, pack, buy extra food and litter, and set up the house so the vet tech can find everything. Woohoo!!
