My beautiful cat is pregnant and she has showed some interesting signs. She had a yellow greenish blob and she has a huge tummy, is figgety, constantly wanted to be petted and I was wondering when do you think she will give birth?

yeah ok well I just talked to the vet and he said that the green yellow stuff was perfectly normal and part of a contraction and that the babies should be along within the next week!

Green yellow discharge ususally means infection of some sort. Hard to understand why vet would think it was normal.

It is the mucous plug and can be yellow-greenish in color which does not necessarily mean it is infection of any sort. Some females I have experience with have passed the plug in various "shades" ranging from ruddy brown to yellow or slightly greenish. It is as individual as cats are themselves and unless you are seeing large amounts of pus (no mucous) with contractions, it sounds completely normal.

verdana3purpleb i When the mother of the new born kittens stimulates there urien/bowel movements, does it stay where ever it comes out @?
I've look in on my cats liter when she goes to use her liter box and I was thinking is she stimulating them after each feeding and if they are having a bowel movement at least once a day then where is it
@?( It does not look like there is any urine/bowel movements in where she keeps them>my closet in a box lined w/warm sleeping bag)

Good to hear you checked in about that greenish stuff. I was talking to my Nana(Who has been breeding cats for well over 50 years) and she said she has never come across green discharge either. Fingers crossed now.

Yes, well, even though Nana sounds liek she knows an awful lot, most cats are different and I think I might trust the vet a little more, but thanks for all of the help!
