this may have been talked about before, but I was wondering if anyone has a tatoo? I just got my first one tonight...It hurt bad too! I had been told how they didn't hurt, but man,,,anyway..it's pretty small, its a black cat about 2 1/2 inches long hanging on to my leg with small red scratch marks..its too cute! I got some pictures taken but I need to get my film developed first...anyone else here have a tattoo? I got it on my left ankle by the way....

oh that is a cute idea!!!!!

i plan on starting my tatoo collection here soon... dont have any yet, but i want to get two cherries on a stem on the small of my back, a cross on my shoulderblade, air force wings on my right upper arm and a braclet design around one of my ankles, i havent decided on an exact style yet.... i got big plans huh
i will probably get one and decide it hurt to bad and not get another one...

okay, this is kinda weird, but i would love to have a small teardrop tatooed on my cheek... i wouldnt want to go through the trouble of always covering it up though for work, cuz i am sure it would be unacceptable...

the cat w/ scratched idea is super cute, i love it.... cant wait to see the pictures!

I have 2... got them done at 18 out of self-destructiveness... now I have to pay about $3,000 to have them removed.
Man, was I stupid.

Your tattoo sounds adorable. You should definitely post pictures if you can. My friend jokes that I have "cliche" tattooed on my back twice! I have two butterflies, one between my shoulder blades and another on the small of my back. They are both flash- so totally unoriginal. I had the first done at 16, at a tattoo party none-the-less! Mistake!! Never go to a tattoo party!!! It's cute though. The one between my shoulder blades is my biggest regret and someday I'll have it removed. I had it done at 18. I have to buy this Dermablend makeup to cover it up for my wedding and I can't wear swimsuits or tanktops around my fiancee's family because it would totally freak them out.

I got a small one when I was thirty. It is of a red heart with a blue rose across is just above my left breast. It does not show when I wear a shirt. It did hurt like a scrape after it was done. Yours sounds real cute. I wanted one that had a cat in a patch of flowers, it was going to cost $80. I was going to get it just above my hip, but I did not have enough money and they told me I could have the outline done then for $40 and come back and have it colored in when I came up with the other $40. I said no, because if it hurt, I would not come back to have it colored in and half done tatoos do not look that great.

Have fun with yours and don't forget to keep putting the cream on it, it does help.

My skin stretches too much coz im having the YoYo effect so i dont want to risk it... plus im 18 im not sooo silly yet

I have two so far! One on my lower back and one on my left ankle - both black tribal style patterns. I am just saving up my money to add to my collection! I will get stars on my wrist and Nana and Grandad written in Gujarati! I just can't wait!

Your cat with the scratches sounds so cute! I can't wait to see pictures!

I have one too. I had never had regrets about getting it. I got mine when I was 21, and I had wanted one since high school. Mine is on my lower back. Its of two fish swimming in a circle (Pisces is my zodiac symbol) If I can locate my pictures and scan them I'll post pics.

Isn't a tear drop near the eye usually associated with gangs and that the wearer has killed someone?

So far out in left field I got lost
I have a rose on my right leg 5 inches above the ankle. It's small but man it hurt like L when he was doing it. I wanted it on my hip but I didn't want to pull my pants down in front of a man I didn't know at all
I wish now that I had gotten what I wanted to begin with, a cat, but now I know how much it hurts so I will never have another one. yeah yeah I know....whimp

- And esp. if you're in the military that's a VERY, VERY bad idea. No need drawing more attention from command than necessary. . .

I have contemplated getting a triskele or Celtic trinity symbol, but I don't know where I'd put it. Don't want it visible to the general public. Besides, I'm probably too chicken to ever follow through - I have commitment issues

I hve 3, with 2 more that I'm waiting for. one is an old turkish illumination of a flower, a rose, which to them holds a similar sway as the lotus does in other cultures, which I want on the inside of my wrist. It will be a simple line art. the oter i'm waiting on my husband to design part of his to get- we didn't want matching tattoos but we wanted to get a pair of big tattoos at the same time.
The other three are, i have a leviathan on my left sholder A butterfly shaped out of m maiden initials (which, even married I like the symbolism of, and feel it's important.. because no mater what, no matter who I'm married to, I am always my parents daughter.) it helps me remember that fact.
Lastly, I will tell you about my first tattoo. It is a fairy caught in a lot of heavy tribal work.. which I still love because to me it was a comng of age, but were I to have my way I wish I wouldn't have that guy do it as it hs a few things wrong with it. But all my tatoos have a meaning.

I would not get one, ever. I just think of the future. I don't want to be a 70-80 year old woman with a rose on my ankle or shoulder.

I have one, a Japanese symbol for "Tiger" which was my grandfather's nickname for me. I'll try to find my camera to get a pic of it to post later.
