It seems like this was an accident-and later in the article they say that wholphins are seen in the wild.

That's cool! There's a farm near here (where we buy our eggs) with a half sheep/half goat that I get a big kick out of.

The False killer whale is not false at all - it is a specific species of whale. (http://www.cetacea.org/fkiller.htm)
This type of whale is able to mate with dolphins to produce offspring much like an ass can mate with a horse producing a mule. Hybrid species are truly interesting, though many arent true species - the offspring (ie the wolphin, the mule) are almost always completely sterile.
