Hey guys!!!!! It's been a long time since I've been here, but I think I can finally start participating here again. For those of you who are new or who don't remember me, I'm one of the long time members here but problems with mild carpel tunnel http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...ighlight=Lorie forced me to leave the site for awhile. I won't be here as often as I once was, but I'm looking forward to meeting the new members and getting caught up on what's been happening with everyone, and I hope everything's been going well for you guys!

Bye for now!!!!!

The doctor feels surgery won't be necessary for me, since the carpel tunnel is mild and still in the early stages. But even in the early stage, this carpel tunnel stuff is icky. I've been slowly getting better, but I stilll have some problems with inflamation and mild pain if I over-do it too much.

Thanks for all your responses guys!

First of all, thanks again for all your responses. I really wish I could be here more often, but unfortunately, it's still not possible.

After making me wait FIVE WHOLE MONTHS my employer's workers comp company finally gave their approval for me to have an EMG test. I had that test last Thursday, and today I got a telephone message from the doctor letting me know that the test has confirmed the dignosis of carpel tunnel, but he didn't say what level it's on. I quickly made an appointment with the doctor and will see him about two weeks.

Now I have a question for anyone reading this who's familiar with carpel tunnel syndrone. I have heard it takes a very long time for this condition to clear up, but is five months waaaaay too long??????????? I'm still hoping to avoid having surgery. Thanks for any info!
