Oh had those before as well Fran!!!

If your at home dampen some cotton pads in cold water and lie them on your eyes for 20 minutes or so.

They say cucumber as well but i've never tried it?.

Tell bf not to shout at you when Teufels there!. My ex boyfriend yelled once and Rosie was terrified, but i told him that would be the last time he ever raised his voice again like that because i wasn't having her upset!!!!

i will try the cotton pads susan, i havent got cucumber, cucumber worked for me when i had puffy eyes from being soo sleepy hehe...

No bf wasnt yelling at me just telling me the same things over and over again. We dont have the same qualities in life. What makes me happy would drag him down and what makes him happy would drag me down... so we dont know where we are going to head

Take it one day at a time Fran, and use the old saying which is to compromise with each other

Under the cats, mostly.
Fran, I tell you what always works wonders for me (hell, I've been hiding tears for years and years) but dampen two tea bags in cold water.... leave those on your eyes for about 15 minutes, and usually you're eyes will feel much better, if not look it. It's not going to go away immediately... there is an alternative though. Either you can go and stand out in the rain and no-one will be able to tell... or you can go stand in a garden on a hot day and claim hayfever

A relationship is all about compromise. Everything you do in your lives while you are together will have to be a compromise. What you eat, where you go, things you do... and the things that you want in life, save for some very special "me" time. You can still have the things that each of you would like in life... but those have to be in moderation, as it were. They say you never really know someone until you live with them - and that's very very true - it's a case now of getting to know the niggly things that you didn't know before and learning to work with or around them as a team
You can do it Fran
and you tell ben I said that too. Tell him that if he shouts at you again, then I shall personally come over there and poke his eyeballs out
and if you both finish up in an argument I shall come over and bang your heads together like my mum used to do with me and my bro! Good luck and hugs all round girl

Hope things get better, Fran!

Another method to take down swelling around your eyes is to put a metal spoon in the fridge or freezer until cold, wrap it with tissue and lay on the swolen parts - it should go down pretty quickly! (but waiting for the spoon to get cold takes a while!)

I've used it quite a few times and find it is a lot quicker than other methods - for me, anyway! It tends to be easier if you leave a spoon in the fridge all the time - it's ready when you need it!

Sorry for the fighting fwan.
Hopefully you two can straighten things out.

For the puffy eyelids: I second tea bags! I bought green tea & peppermint tea. Steep the tea in hot water then let the tea bags cool down in the fridge. When they're cold, set them on yer eyes for a long while.

Also try slicing a potato and holding it on there. Potatoes are supposedly all-healing, I hear Christina Augilera uses them to rub on her face because they get rid of swelling from zits, and they also work for swelling from crying eyeballs!

Another thing that works is Preparation H (the butt cream). It shrinks capilaries or something and reduces redness. But use it on your eyes before you put it on your butt.

And, lastly, good ol eye gel, kept in the fridge! Oil of Olay makes this clear eye gel (not sure what it's called) but it's made in Ireland and it's very light -- if you keep it in the fridge and use it on your eyes before make up it helps with swelling.

Hope you're okay.

Fwan, you both need to remember my mom's favorite saying:

The only thing you can change is your own mind and a soiled diaper

As for your eyes, I agree with the tea bags. It works for me all the time.

Sorry you guys are arguing, Fwan. I like the saying "If we agree on everything, one of us ins't necessary."

I can't stand when my eyes get puffy! I feel tired all day. I'll have to try some of the suggestions next time...well...maybe not the Preparation H.

Oh goodness that's a great saying!!! I'll have to remember that and mention it to Brendan the next time we disagree. He'll be so impressed as I'm usually the one that it bothers and he always realizes it's no big deal!

ohh well guys i had to sms him twice because i had companies calling me, so he called me and i made him call Quelle which i ordered my stepper and it is coming with in the next 3 - 4 days so sometime next week.
I asked him if he wanted me to cook or we should go out for dinner, and he said that we will go to a restaurant tonight!
He sounded very sorry and he seemed to be back to his normal self.

I think i will have to use the tea bags now

Must be something going around...hubby and I fought last night and I'm puffy today, too. Sometimes fights just happen...it's the result of putting two opinionated, outspoken people in a house together.

I'm going to try the spoon thing.
