Hi all....my cat sassy is very preg. it was a mistake...took her to the vet to get her fixed and to my surprise she was preg. I got the option to aboard the babies...but that is not my style. anyhow at about 4pm this afternoon she had a blob of yellowish green discharge come out. does this mean it is starting to happen and if so is there a time frame....she wont let me leave her side.

Hello!
Welcome to TCS! It sounds like Sassy is very close. The yellowish-greenish stuff that she expelled was her mucos plug...ick!

If I am correct this happens a few days before delivery....so be watching for babies although I have never seen my Shashawna expel it. Her third litter is due in 8 days.....can't wait!

Hope I helped!

no smell to the discharge....she seems happy...she has no fever either. She keeps wanting me to pet her belly and she is purring like crazy. she does have a wild look in her eyes though for about 1 1/2 min. at a time. thank you all for caring

Did the yellowish green stuff happen more than once or only once because my cat had the same thing, has a HUGE stomach and is well..pregnant, but we are confused as to when she will have the babies. Has your cat had her kittens yet and how long after the yellow greenish thing came out? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Have you got a box and things all set up for her?

How many days is she today?

My cats normally have their kittens fairly soon after they have expelled their plug.

Keep your vets number handy and please keep us updated.

Hi Natasha - first of all welcome to TCS.

I ask the same questions to you as I did to WMFantasia. Questions in my previous post.

You told me to answer these questions, so here ya go!
The kittens have not been born yet

And we are not sure how long she has been pregnant. She has signs that say would be that she is about 7-9 weeks along. what do u mean expelled their plug? how will i know when that happens? do u mean the yellow greenish stuff? and yeah, my vet5s number is on hand and i will post pics when the kittens are born! thanks for all of ur help!

All the "plugs" I have seen have been of a reddy brown colour. Greenish sounds a little weird to me but I suppose it could be. If she is closer to 7 weeks then she wont be having them for at least another week, maybe even two but if she is 9 weeks along, she could have them any day! Two weeks makes alot of difference. But anyway to answer your original question, I think she will have the kittens pretty close since she expelled her plug - keep a close eye on her.

All the best.

well our breathing has been rapid for an hour now.
I think our time might be close. She also has redish brown tinged fluid around her vaginal area.
lets pray this happens tonight

Its totally normal to not be exactly on the due date. I know like NOTHING about cat pregnancy but i do know that. It could be before, and it could be after. Today is only Tuesday, two days past her due date, so if I were you, dont be worried, but again, I KNOW NOTHING lol. Good luck!

I definitely want your kitty to be safe, so be sure to go to the vet. But, also, our vet (who is very good) told me with great confidence a due date which was 11 days off!
Hope it all goes great.
