....and it's kitten season, and I should be helping out in the Ferals forum - not to mention missing all of you, and not writing regular updates about Naomi.... Unfortunately, I missed updating on all of the good stuff going on, and it's because she left and is back in the city shooting that I even have time to visit TCS now.
We have found time for cats though, and we've trapped 18 this season - two of them pregnant females. These have all been at local establishments. Basically we drove around to all the restaurants, car washes, etc. around town and left leaflets that if they have cats on the premises, please give us a call. It seems to be helping.
Apart from the bad news about Naomi (although we really expected a few false starts along the way), we have really, really sad news. I posted an update in the Health forum. He's not responding to his meds anymore, and he's terribly anemic. The only thing we can do is change the immune suppression, so we're changing to anabolic steroids tomorrow. If it doesn't help, he's probably only got several weeks left to live, and between that and Naomi, Gary and I are complete wrecks.
I really hope that everyone here is doing well and having a great 2005! Now that I don't have to manage a daughter in a methadone program with lots of therapy and full-time work, I should have more time to spend at TCS. I cannot tell you how much I have missed the site, the news, my friends, and sharing things on a more regular basis.
(((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))) to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
