Ahh, memories of the SAT. It has now changed and is 2400 instead of 1600. For those who just did it, if any, anyone scored a perfect 2400 or knew one who did score a perfect? I recall a classmate of mine who scored a 1600. Funny thing was that I was intially happy with my score.

As for SAT II I took World History, one of the math and Literature.

What about you folks? That one paper that it seems at the time would determine you fate.

Edit: Changed the title since I think just Sat seems a bit misleading even if SAT test sounds silly. Double Tests!

Way back when I went to college you didn't need to take the SAT if you where a certain GPA or if you went to the in state universities. I remember taking some sort of placement test for English and Math however. I tested out of "english 101". I got credit for never having to take the class!! Math however wasn't my strong point (good thing I married a CPA)

I knew one 1600 and a few in the high 1500s when I was at that age. I didn't do as well but I was a different type of person. I think if I would have tried a little I would have done a lot better, but still not near a 1600

It's eons since I did that, and I haven't a clue anymore how I scored, but I do remember enjoying it and that I scored reasonably well. I'm weird that way -- I love this kind of thing -- or used to!

All I remember from taking it was that my math score was lower than my others and my English score was really high. Other than that I just don't remember. Then again that was what 10/11 years ago. You do take that your senior year right?

You can take it any year really. I have a friend who took it in 7th grade just because her mom wanted to see how well she would do at that age. I took it in 11th grade and never took it again. I knew which university I wanted to go to and I applied early enough that I figured if I didn't get in and needed to take it again, I would still have time. When I took it I had only JUST started Algebra II and hadn't gotten to a lot of the math that was on the test. I know that if I had taken it again my Senior year I would have gotten 100 points better. My english score was over 100 points higher than my math!!
