I thought it might be good to have a bit of insight into everyones home.

So, tear your eyes away from the monitor, turn your head towards the nearest window, now don't stop to smile at your kitty doing something cute/rude/naughty. Now look out, and tell me what you see.

I can see, to one side a row of houses, we are set on higher ground, we look over the roof tops from this upstairs room. On the other side is a hilly field, with trees, pylons, telegraph poles and a mixed heard of cows. Passing by in the sky are starlings, magpies, crows and seagulls.

Your turn.

The computer room is in the first floor and the window is by the driveway. Just a wall and plants. Bit boring.

Well i'm at work and i don't really have a window as such here apart from a frosted glass door.

But in front of me is the actual reception area where customers come in, and to the left of me is a small window which looks into the small factory office where 4 collegues work and where i have a bit chat with them.

From their office it's all windows so i can see right out into the factory and watch them working.

At home, to the left of me is the guest bed where Rosie and Sophie sleep, there's a shelf to the right of me where the lamp is and a picture of the kitts, and in front is the window which overlooks houses, but theres a huge blossom tree right in front of it

Out of my nearest window which is right next to the computer at the moment since it is night I can see complete darkness.

In the day time I can see our fence, the property next door which is a big empty bit of land, the house next to that and a few more houses. Not that great.

Well the view from my bedroom window (where the computer is) in my apartment is not very exciting. At my parents house it's much nicer, so I'll do one for there as well.

For my apartment though right outside the window I see a small palm plant, just beyond that are a couple of scattered oak trees that didn't fall in the hurricanes. The oak trees are scattered around the parking lot to make it look a bit prettier than a typical parking lot. There's a whole bunch of cars out there. Just from where I'm sitting I can see 14. Then beyond all that I can see another one of the buildings in my complex. That's about it.

At home with my parents it tends to be more interesting.
From the computer room there (also my bedroom) I can see the houses across the street and the state park (Tomoka State Park) directly behind those houses. There's also palm trees in front of some of the houses that I can see. Pretty flowers and things like that are also growing in front of the houses. Sometimes when I'm looking out the window I can see turkey's in our yard or crossing the street, moles, deer, always squirrels, and snakes. That's the fun of living across from the state park.

I always have the bamboo shades covering my window in the computer room, as the window is above my desk, and I don't like the light in my eyes while I work. If I did raise the blind, though, I'd look out into the wood storage shed and garbage can area of my neighbor's house. Not a beautiful sight.

The next room downstairs is an interior bathroom with no windows. The nearest windows not covered are in my sewing room, which I can get to by going through the bathroom or by going down a hall. I just walked in there and saw my professionally landscaped back yard with one gull walking on the lawn, another perched atop one of the large rocks, and the bay beyond, just 100 feet from me. The sky is gray.

Edit: Here is what the view looks like from my sewing room on a sunny afternoon.

My living room has windows at the front and the back - so as I sit here working this is what I can see:

view from the front window

and from the back:

Even though it's grey and cold, the leaves are starting to come out on the trees

Well I'm at work and to my left is a window and my view is a fence about 3 ft away that blocks Mcdonald's parking lot. At home my computer is in my "sewing/crafts? room and faces a wall. And a messy room!!

Right now I am in my living room and looking out the windows I can see some trees, nice green grass, my bird bath, humming bird feeder, bird feeder, and suet cake dangling from a tree. There is a squirrel cake wedged between two trees. The grill and patio set.
Some green plants and my herbs and tomato and cucumber plants.
Its becoming a lovely spring.

awww lovely. Do you get many hummingbirds? We don't get any here in England, but I love to see them.

I've had one so far. I just put the feeder up Sunday. I have a lot of squirrles though!!
I love watching them. They are soooo cute and they keep Meisk entertained for hours.

-I have to give my husband some credit here. This weekend I got my cuke and tomato plants and the herbs and he was actually excited about fresh veggies... and he didn't complain about the bird seed and the squirrel stuff either. Bless his heart.
He finally understands the animal lover in me.

I'm at work. I have no window in my office. If I were to get up & go to an office that has a window?

From the side of the building, I see Cincinnati. The Ohio River, the buildings over the water, the Roebling Suspension Bridge. On days when the Reds are playing, I see a sea of people wearing red stumbling about, and fireworks when the Reds score a run!

From the front of the building, I see the row houses turned into businesses. I see Escalades with dark windows and hear their thumping stereos and get a good laugh from their spinning chrome wheels. I see the occasional bum wandering by, talking to himself.

If I was at home I'd be seeing my neighbors working in their yards from the back, and nothing but my overgrown trees from the front.
