Last night I was bad, I have hamburger thawing in the refrigerator but got home late and instead had potato chips and cottage cheese for dinner. I'm planning on making either meatloaf, spaghetti (which I am currently leaning towards), or sloppy joes. Thankfully I live alone so I get away with sometimes slacking off on cooking.

My sense of smell and taste is back today! Yay!

And so I am cooking garlic rosemary chicken for dinner tonight - Jake will have brown rice while I will have vegetables instead.

Last night we had sirloin steaks on the grill, baked tater and corn. It was yummy.
Isn't so good? I love panera. I used to get their bread bowls alot but I never had enough soup to go with it. Now I like getting the pick two.
Steaks sound awesome!! Haven't had that in awhile.

I got stuck cooking today. My roommate doesn't feel like it. She said "nothing vegan!". The nerve . . .she'll eat my yummy food or she can make something herself

Tonight I'm making my favourite pasta dish, cannelloni, with basmati rice and veggies on the side. Oh, and cinnamon apple pie for dessert.

We are having bbq pork chops on the contact grill (its cold and nasty out today) and I will probably make corn and steam some broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. I made white chocolate pecan blondies last night from scratch, so, that will probably dessert.

I have this great and easy chicken marinade when you are going to grill, or broil, or sauteeÂ´ it. You take thawed chicken, and you use the following (and if you are interested, let me know, and I will post exact measurements.):

red wine vinegar
sugar
salt
pepper
chili powder
vegetable oil (or olive oil)
oregano
garlic powder
Mix that in with the chicken, and let refrigerate for at least an hour. The best way is the night before, but you cant always plan that ahead! The longer you let it marinate, the better it tastes! Its great. I have a good steak marinade that I could post as well. They are all easy.

vespacat - I'm 31 and really don't know about cooking either! I live on nachos and frozen food!!! What happened to us?
I think part of it is laziness on my part...I hate going to the grocery store!!!!

Well, I said I was going to cook last night, and I did -- yay, me!
The leftover Vietnamese Fried Rice (which Rob didn't eat for lunch) went very nicely with salmon steaks and broccoli parmesan. Pretty plate, too!

Hmmm. No dinner for me tonight. A hospital IV and clear fluids since the people kitten will be joining us soon. But, for lunch I did have 2 chicken sandwiches and lots of water. LoL not much, but just all I could think of that was quick this afternoon.
