You could send her a colorful bouquet of flowers and a card telling her how much you love her and how you wish you could be with her on her special days. I'll bet a phone call from you would make her happy too.

aw they do sound lovely but there are a few problems.
Firstly my parents dine everywhere so she doesnt have a favourite!
secondly id deliver her some flowers but.... she and my dad are deaf so they will never hear the door and may never get the flowers.
3rdly she doesnt collect anything, maybe thats why she hits the bottle!

I think i should get her suscribed to some magazine in the UK? or in australia so she has some english news.. hmm..

Diane I will get her chocolates, she loves those

I cant call her coz she is deaf but i will write her a fax

and nikky we will see if im in the mood to make her something crafty

keep the ideas coming along!

ohh and susan! i cant get her perfume the ones she likes are waay too expensive for my wallet hehe

Fran what about candles? Anything that smells good, Dont all women love candles? I once got my mom ( at a candle shop) a wax dog it smelles so good and was so cute, when the smell wears off you take a blow dryer to it and it smell good again. My moms bday and mothers day are real close too so she always get screwed with one present for both.

Here's a link to a doorbell for deaf people.

It is kinda expensive, but then you could send flowers on the next holiday!
My bro-in-law is deaf, and has been living on his own for a few years. I know he has a special alarm clock that lights up to help him wake up! I don't know how much people like the doorbells...

I know about the door bells, in our appartment in frankfurt they wont install it because we live on the 4th floor and it takes "too much" wireing to do.

I have made up my mind im going to buy her a plant.... something high so my bunny doesnt eat it! with chocolates.
and my dad gets Cyprus coins because now cyprus is changing to the euro.. (its a late bday pressie
