Do your cats give you attitude? I never thought mine did until this morning.....Miss Pixie was laying in front of the water bowl, and I had to refill the bowl and put fresh water in it. Well, she is laying there all relaxed, almost guarding it. I never gave it much thought and bent down to get it, saying hi to her all the while. Well, she gives me one of those throaty moan/growl as if to say, touch it and die! Well, I just looked at her and asked her who peed in her Wheaties this morning!
I went to reach for it and she took a playful swat at me......( I think)
I reached down to scritch her belly, and she jumped up and glared at me as if to say once again, touch it and die! Do cats get PMS? She finally sauntered off and layed in the hallway, where she rolled over and showed me her belly........weird. What kind of cattitude do your kits give you?

Waffle has only given me attitude a couple of times that I can remember. She does it to others much more regularly, but not me, which makes it all the more offensive.
Both times she got nasty with me were when I was giving her her rough scritches (which she goes NUTS for) and apparently she had decided she was done, but instead of getting up and walking away like she normally does she turned around and bit me! Just out of nowhere! The second time she swatted me like Trixie did to you! I started lecturing her each time about why that wasn't nice and she just glared at me...then walked away, came back, and curled up next to me.

Well Katherine, everyone of my kits will turn and bite me when they've had enough loving..........God forbid that should just get up and walk away! LOL
It's not hard though and does't hurt, and all I have to say is no bite, and they start licking instead.

socks has the worst attitude i think i cat can possibly have

even to the point where if you touch him and he does'nt want you to, your getting clawed, and thats that.
People even laugh because they say he look's as if he frowns

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
See this picture?

This is a normal position for both of them.

I needed to get on the keyboard and went to lift Rosie off and was also given one of those throaty growls and a bat on the hand before she jumped down

Rosie does it sometimes when it's bedtime when i have to get them both upstairs in their room before i set the alarm as if to say "I don't want to go to bed yet!!"

Meish has never growled at me perse but when I pick her up and she isn't in a love mood she has this cry that sounds like she says God Nooooo. She hisses at her toy when she is on her back and if I dangle it over her face... she must feel too vunerable.

Tibby is pretty posessive over anything that I need to use! He will give me the glare if I try to take it from him!
He often turns and bites me - for fun sake and then cuddles up all snuggly with me!

He also gets a bit peeved if I try to leave a room we've been sitting in for a while!

Molly is generally quite fickle and doesn't seem to care too much! My little fancy free girly!

Attitude? My sweet kitties? Naah, never!
is more like it sometimes!
Lets see, by kitty:
Rusty, never
Babycakes- we're talking the queen of attitude here! 5 lbs of fluff and fur and she rules the roost, even though the biggest is over 15 lbs!
Rurnt, naah
Hef-cat-sometimes, especially if he's high on 'nip!
Yumyum, never
Tigs, only when he's needing lovin', then he'll come up to you and if you're sitting at the 'puter, he'll tap you or bite you on the butt, or if you're standing, he'll bite you on the ankle!
Gizzy, he's just a typical teenager!

When Guin was small he had worms

I only knew that he had worms because I came home from work and he started to roll over in front of me for a stroke and there it was... this little wriggly thing hanging out of his bottom ...

I had to get rid of it so I got some of these cat wipes and very gently wiped his bottom whilst holding his scruff. Boy did he growl! It was the first time that I had heard him growl and it was really menacing.... the big cattitude came afterwards when he would not come near me for the rest of the evening... lol

Needless to say, he is now VERY up to date on his worming!

I only get cattitude from one of my babies... Zorro. He's very loving & likes to be around me, sleeps right next to me, just *has to* be in the bathroom with me as I shower, etc. So I always pick the fat boy up and hold him to me while he purrs. He doesn't like to be held, but he loves chin scratches & neck scratches!

BUT, when he is DONE getting scratched, the big guy hammers those jaws down on my hand or arm and draws blood. Then he gives me this look like, "what ARE you doing this for anyway?".

Hammie is sort of the opposite, if you ignore him, he gets mad! Hammie can never, ever have too much attention. He rules.

My cat Shane gives me plenty of cattitude. If I have to take something away from him, that he shouldn't have, he will growl and hiss at me, then he' will storm away in a huff. He even gets mad if I want my computer chair, and he's resting on it. Growl- -Hiss--Huff!!! Simba doesn't seem to give me any cattitude, but he's usually getting into something and being naughty about 75 percent of the time, but he's the most happy go lucky little guy I've ever seen.

I remember back when my precious Rainbow Bridge Snoopy was a younger cat, he used to get mad at me, if I wasn't in the mood to hold him. During those times, when he got in my lap, and I put him down, he's act like he was stalking me.

Tigger gives me attitude all the time he is such a brat! sometimes If I pick him up he will growl at me,if I have to move him while he's laying on my clothes he screams,God forbid I don't put his bed right next to the bath tub before I take a bath HE LITTERLY HUFFS AND PUFFS! He'll stand ther sulking and crying untill I go get it! He's the only cat I've ever know to sigh when he does'nt get his way.Of course he would never bite me though, he loves me too much. Kaya is VERY sensitive if I yell at him for any reason he''ll give me such an attiutide like "don't talk to me" he'll hold a serious grudge especially if I go away on vacation!

Patches... The diva of the house is very talkative
... When I do something she doesnt like she talks to me and tells me that she doesnt like it. Tiger is the easy going one... She just gives me the "bitey" with her vampire teeth.

W/ the best cats
I was going to post a similar thread because Wawa (my newest baby) surprised and upset me the other day. There was a TCS thread on cats that liked to be spanked. Well, Wawa teased Skinny and I told him to stop it. He did and as he started to go away, I sort of "spanked" him (a light pat in the behind) testing to see if he liked it. Oh boy he gave me this look of HATE! I was shocked.

I really thought he was going to attack or something. But in an instant that stare was gone and he was the normal, loving kitty.
Well, I don't know if I should blame TCS for giving me the stupid idea or myself for being stupid.
Oh, don't bother to answer that!
