Well, I went to the humane society today and adopted a 10 week old kitten, male. He is just irresistable!!! I wanted to take all of them home. That's why it's hard for me to go to those places but I did it. The ladies that worked there were super nice. I went in a separate room with him and we played for awhile. He is getting fixed (not sure if it's spayed or neutered for a boy?) this week then I get to bring him home on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!
They open at 10am and I am sure I will be in the parking lot at 4am waiting! Can't wait to share pics with you all soon!!!

In about 8-10 more weeks, I am going to bring home another kitten from my friend's litter.
Just had to share with you all!!!!!!!
His name in the shelter is "angus" UGH!, nope that's all done, his new name will be....."Spook".

Thank you all!!! I just can't stand the waiting now....

Although I am really happy and excited to bring spook home, I feel so sad inside for the other kitties that are left there.
It just breaks my heart.

I'm s pleased for you! Well done for adopting a kitty from a shelter! I did too, and it feels so good knowing that we've helped our furry friends.
I wanted to adopt them all too!

Thank you!
I am just so excited. He was so precious. Well, they all were precious to be honest. It's just this little look he had on his face when I seen him. It was like, "Are you looking at me??? please???"
That was so sweet of you to say, I agree, my angels will be watching over him and helping him get comfortable here.

Thanks! I am so glad to give him a loving and spoiled home.
Ugh, I seriously could have taken all of them home today. I hope that they all find good homes. I will worry about them of course.

Ugh, so I made the announcement today about my new adoption. I cannot wait to get him on Saturday!!! Anyways, I go to college here in BG and had an exam tonight. I went out there early and parked over in this stadium lot for a minute to review my notes. I look up and see this little tiny kitty! I drove over to where she was and tried to get her to come to me. She wouldn't and ran up by the building in a corner. I very slowly approached her and finally got a hold of her. She ended up scratching my face and biting my finger. I held her in my arms and took her to my car. I had a cat carrier in my car (just in case) and put her in there. Couldn't believe I looked down and my finger was bleeding so bad but I didn't care. I know she only did that because she was scared. I would do the same thing!!! She calmed down and I took her straight over to my vet's where my mom works too. She didn't make a peep she just sat in the carrier. Of course, I am already loving her. I had to leave her so they could look at her and I ran to class to take my test. Well, I am sure I failed it because all I could think about was her. Oh well. I went back to see her and my vet said she has a bad upper respiratory infection. She is about 3 mts old. My vet said she is concerned about how skinny she is. She ran a feluke test and it was negative (thank god) but my vet is still very concerned. She was skinny like my little punkin who just passed away. But I'm thinking, well she is only about 3 mts old and probably hasn't had much to eat so of course she would be skinny right???
My vet wants to keep her there for observation for a little while before I would take her home. I wanted to take her home tonight and nurse her and love her and get her better but my vet said it wasn't a good idea since I am getting my new boy on Saturday, we need to make sure she is going to get better first and clear up her respiratory situation.

The girls that work up there besides my mom know me really well and are very good to me. The one girl said tonight, "hon, after what you just went through with punkin being so sick, I think you should wait to see if this kitten gets better first"
I hated leaving her there but I am glad she is not outside now at least and will have a warm bed, food, water and medicine. They are going to worm her tomorrow and start some meds for the infection tonight.
Thanks so much for listening......... give me your thoughts.

Yep, if she does ok, I am going to bring her home. I wish I could have brought her home tonight but I understand that I need to wait until she is better and my vet takes very very good care of animals. I am soooooo glad she has a warm place to sleep tonight and food and water. Poor baby girl. What beautiful fate that I found her.

How wonderful that she is off the street and in good care. I am sure there will be lots of advice about introducing your two new kits to each other and hteir new home. Fate is funny sometimes - I wanted a companion for Dushka, got Ellie from a friend's litter, and then suddenly Persil walked into my life. It happens.
