Here is my Dad Eric's hometown, Grantsville, Utah!

and this is the house where Eric grew up as a kid.

and this is Snowball at Eric's family's house. He has the lightest blue eyes for a cat. I wanted to just eat him up.

We went to the Kenecott Copper Mine. It's very high up and one of the two largest man-made areas seeable from space!

Then we had some lunch and I saw her.

Then we had some more food. They had so much meat. Utah has lots of meat! I got my very first bone, too. It was a tenderloin, not bad for the first score, huh?

So I hope you enjoyed my road trip, and here is one last photo of the Salt Lake Valley countryside.

Great pics, Elizabeth!
I enjoyed that thoroughly... reminded me of the foothills of Alberta, just before the Rockies. And Sandy was a FABULOUS host, and introduced us to a few other furry monsters along the way!

What a great travelogue, Sandy! You did a fine job of finding interesting things to show us. I hope you and your Mum and Dad had a good time. I'll bet you're glad to be home, though, and see your brother and sister.

BTW, Sandy, you're a lovely little girl!

Great pics Eddie, those are pretty mountains. Everytime I make roadtrips all I see is trees, and murky water. Looks like Sandy had fun, aww she met a couple of doggy friends. Love the two kitties, they are both adorable. Are those cars on Kenecott Copper Mine? Yikes, that looks scary!

Those were all great picutres Elizabeth! That mining area was huge! I like those pictures you took of other peoples pets in cars. That was cute. Some of the other landscape shots were nice and the house that your dad grew up in looks beautiful!

Thanks everyone. It was a sad trip to have to make but uplifting.

Ryan, I wish that was my Dad's house - it's Eric's family's home in Grantsville, UT. But Eric is my sweet daddy too!

Sandy was the center of the known universe for the entire last week and now we have some acting-out issues to tend to and some SandyBrat things to work on....my, my, my, how puppies forget the most basic of training.
The best part was coming home to Sasha licking my face and Saba instantly jumping on the bed to sleep beside me even before we unpacked!

Whoops! You had to quote me on that didn't you?
I must have got mixed up with the previous picture's text, which still wasn't about your dad.
Anyway, good luck with Sandybrat. She must have been spoiled having every minute with you and Eric.

...She is, and we are truly having some issues that are draining us. Nobody is sleeping at our house, except Sandy. Sasha was happy while we were gone, but he's terribly stressed now. Saba seems to be oblivious but she bit me tonight and slapped me! We are trying to work through it all. Eric takes her to work, which is a nice break for the kitties, but right now we have our hands full. It's like an infant on caffeine. <sigh> ...and there isn't a dog site like this cat site to query, either.

We are in the process of crate training and behavior corrections but she just has not exhibited ANY lightbulb going off yet for any rules. She does not respond to "no" and then when put in the garage for a time-out for only 1 hr she yowled and pooped everywhere.
The only one she seems to respect and abide by at the moment is Saba!

Oh, dear!!
Doesn't take long for little canine people to break training, does it?? I wish I had some wisdom for you, but all I can do is hope you get little Sandybrat toeing the line soon -- for everyone's sake.
