Egyptian Mau lover expectin new kittten. Booda dome yea or nay?

I've read some negative reviews about the Booda dome. Are they all true? Anyone have anything good to say bout it? How about the Booda dome clean step?

I have one, and some of my cats use it, and others won't go near it.

I'll move this to Care & Grooming where we discuss things like this.

I also have a booda dome. I love it and so does Dinah.

I'm curious though....what have you heard negative about it?

I must say, I have no clue what it is ......

they say the that the way the top fits over the bottom causes the pee to leak out the sides of it. note: this is the booda dome (17.5") not booda dome clean step. one person said she tried to tape the sides but was awful to clean still. i like the smaller dome but will prolly get the some clean step.

I have the Booda Dome Clean Step (3 of them actually) and all of my kitkats love it.

If you are using clumping litter though, make sure to get a smaller scoop. The larger ones don't seem to do the job as well around the curve of the box. That is only IMO though

I have NEVER had an issue with pee leaking out the sides

I am fascinated and trying to visualise this contraption???

I did the old booda for a while it all depends on the cat

I'm usually nerveous around litter boxes with hoodes, expecially the booda dome, which is very claustraphobic. Plus, i think it traps odors, and i can't imagine a cat liking it

btw, what does a booda dome have to do with a pregnant cat?

i think i'll try the clean step...

I have both of the Booda Domes and I LOVE it. They are so much bigger than your average hooded litter box and easy to clean.

I've never heard any negative reviews about. Nor have I had any of the leaking problems mentioned earlier.
