After waiting all day I just got the phone call - I'm the proud nanna of a little girl - 6.14lb. born at 6.30pm (Australian time). Mother and daughter are both well. Father is still on cloud 999. I'll being going down to see her in a few days - it will take that long to organise a bus ticket and for them to get out of hospital. If I ever learn how to post pics I'll try and show you.
Thanks for helping to keep me sane today while I've been waiting - she was admitted to hospital at 4.40am this morning (Sunday here).
Thanks again.

Thanks everyone. It is now Monday morning here and I've had some sleep. Just waiting to here how long she will be staying in hospital - then I'll go down to stay for a while. Just rang the hospital - they are fine but asleep - so I didn't talk to her. Will be back here later to chat. See you

In Australia you can leave after a day BUT you must agree to the midwife doing home visits for a little while to make sure you are OK with bubby. Apparently you can leave without that but bubby stays in for a little while

My daughter will be going home on Wednesday so I will travel down there tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait. My furry baby Zeus will not be happy though - he has to go and be boarded at the vet because he frets and goes off his food when his human mummy goes away. My other furry will stay at home and keep my husband company.(that's Tabitha).

I'll probably not be able to talk to you guys until I get back - the kids don't have a computer at home.
