I just got my two new kittens (6-8 weeks old) yesterday. This is the first time I've had kittens on my own. I'm becoming concerned, I've had them for about 21 hours now and have been watching them intently to make sure that they are eating and drinking right. I have not seen them urinate or any bowel movements at all, not in the litter box and not anywhere else. Could this be a problem? Or Could it just be them getting used to the new place? I need help...Thanks so much, NewKittyMomma

I would keep them in one room, like the bathroom or a small bedroom, with the litterpan, until they use it. Feed them there, put a bed for them in there, go in and talk and play with them, but they will use it eventually. And once they have got used to that place then you can open the door and let them explore, always letting them keep an escap route back to where they know their 'facilities' are. Don't worry - they are probably a bit stressed, and they are very young, and 24 hours is not unusual. And if they have had the run of the house, then it is quite possible you have missed something!
